Rishabh is one of a kind.
The joke always aimed at me is " show me your neck scar" (from removing your second head).
As for the inbred label, if it’s said because he’s not full-blooded aboriginal, which I can’t imagine he is, then it’s a bit eek. Actually, it wouldn’t make a lot of sense, since inbred would mean more ‘pure’.
Boland is a Vic. The inbred label can only ever be levelled at Tasmanians and South Australians.
It’s just due to his looks rather than anything deep.
Don’t think calling someone inbred is acceptable anywhere.
There was going to be no way india had a chance in the day nighter.
Firstly, it’s not over. Secondly, bringing back in some underdone players has hurt you a bit. Rohit hasn’t played test cricket for months and it shows.
Australia is obviously going to grow in this series. They too were terribly underdone coming into this series, last playing international test cricket over 9 months ago with a 2 match series against the typically feeble NZ in Feb-March. So I am hoping the batting for both teams at least, gets better as the series goes along. Because it’s going to be disappointing if this Adelaide test doesn’t even get through 3 days
Number 36 for Root, scooped over his head to make it there of course. Let’s see if NZ can survive the day.
Stokes declared on 49*.
NZ just aren’t this bad.
Pretty even first day, Final session swung for England.
England facing a defeat as humiliating as NZ suffered in Wellington.
Even if the series is won, it’s not good enough. They really need to find some bowlers or the next couple of series are going to be miserable.
It’s playing out exactly how the entire world has said from the start: High-risk short-format cricket played across a 5 day test is going to see high highs and low lows:
Nothing to see here.
It may be over hyped and yes, the risks are high, but England were drifting into tedious mediocrity before the Stokes/McCullum regime. We’ve had some fantastic entertainment since, and I doubt any England fan would have wanted anything else.
The problem isn’t the philosophy, it’s the fact that the bowling isn’t anywhere near the standard of the batting.
None of the English bowlers would get a game for any of their rivals.
Boland would walk into the England team.
TBF I do hope you get some of your bowling (not all!) sorted before the Ashes.
The way India are doing, even if they are utterly reliant on Bumrah, is the sort of competition we want to see come to Australia. We know you guys can bat, with some batsman loving playing Australia and others with a point to prove (Root), but we need to see you guys bring in some bowlers willing to do the hard graft on pitches and in conditions that don’t favour bowlers.
Make it close but not too close.
At least Zak Crawley got his highest score of the series
Top knock by Crawley again.
Honestly, how long can it go on?
A lot longer than any of his innings.
It’s starting to look like cruelty on the lad.
I would get the blond twink up batting first.
