Happy for NZ.

I get the reservations about the tournament, but they are a breath of fresh air.

If they win it’s the greatest one ever.

If they lose it can fuck off.

Especially as the whole thing has been organised for India’s convenience.

Not enough by New Zealand.

Cue Sith telling us how India have no chance.

Thanks.

NZ should win this easily.

Told you India’s losing this.

Oh ye of little faith.

Have you confused yourself with the teams? They haven’t been losing this for the last hour.

As an Indian, he’s obviously happy if India win. But he is also happy if they lose, as it means he can come on here and tell everyone that he told us so.

It really is beyond tedious now.

Couldn’t care less if India win.

This tournament was a farce in my book. And I don’t like the format too much anyway.

Yeah, yeah, yeah… an Indian cricket fan who doesn’t care if India win…

Nah. Not this one.

I’ll be very happy if they win the 50 over wc. Or the T20 one. Or the BG trophy.

Just not this particular tournament.

Too much cricket.

I do agree this tournament is bland as fuck.

Might as well get three teams to have a few test matches

Another iconic stadium biting the dust after Perth.

Holding onto a stadium for the sake of holding on is a losing game. Eventually, whether in 10, 25, 50,100 years, at some point the bullet will need to be bit or it will cease to be able to function.

The stadium is absolutely hemmed in by Stanley and Vulture streets. Now maybe an argument could be made that the stadium doesn’t need to be resized and merely upgraded in amenities. I don’t know.

But I think building a new stadium with excellent transport links and room to grow if needed makes a lot of sense.

We would have had to move if we didn’t do that buying up of houses around Anfield in the 80s/90s.

We will within several decades no doubt.

I’m not sure that the crowds coming in to Gabba for cricket would warrant a new stadium. Just renovate the original.

Even during the age of Lara, Richardson, Walsh, Ambrose, he was my favorite. Skill, style, and inconsistency he had in equal measures.
