I play League Cricket, I’m the head of the regional cricket union in all but name, I’m a Level 3 Umpire, I have my own Cricket Academy, I coach disadvantaged youth who cannot afford to attend Academies like mine, I create, run and oversee senior leagues, junior leagues and women’s cricket in our region, I go and watch cricket of any kind in the area as often as I can, I regularly visit Kingsmead and liase with the officials there on an almost daily basis. Aside from my Academy and umpiring, all of the above is as a volunteer for the love of the game.
I’ve never been less interested in a tournament in my life.

If the sport was played by about 200 nations to some quality then this might have a point. It doesn’t.

I get the reservations about the tournament, but they are a breath of fresh air.
If they win it’s the greatest one ever.
If they lose it can fuck off.

As an Indian, he’s obviously happy if India win. But he is also happy if they lose, as it means he can come on here and tell everyone that he told us so.
