Jadeja played that pretty oddly towards the end imo, but who cares. Great win for England. Now make the required changes and put them away for good.
Bashir is out anyhow.
You’d imagine. It’ll be interesting to see who replaces him.
Well he’s injured so he is
Old Trafford next so should really be picking your best spinner. I’d play Dawson personally but who knows, Stokes and Baz probably still think Bashir with one hand is a better option.
Haines, Duckett, Bethell, Root, Brook, Smith, Stokes, Dawson, Woakes, Carse, Archer would be my team. Plenty of rest time so the quicks can go again. Rehan Ahmed could be an outside bet given he can bowl spin and has become a very good batsmen this year with 3 centuries playing in the top 3.
You know Pope and Crawley will start.
It’s been announced that Bashir is out of the rest of the series.
I do feel a bit for Siraj for the way he got out. Good of the England lads to go over and console him.
Sort of sorry for him, but I hope someone comes in who can actually bowl spin.
West Indies currently tying the lowest test score with 2 wickets remaining.
Make that 1.
I do…but I don’t…they thought they’d won with tap n run…but a slight misjudgement…and…oops on your bike…
The second lowest test score and the lowest since 1955.
Didn’t see swing having much of an effect. It was mostly seam movement and uneven bounce that did it in the Indian second inning.
England’s bouncers were more effective I thought (even though India did take wickets with bouncers that should have been left alone). Just the roughing up alone has a psychological effect, as much as they might deny it. Siraj had more than enough time to kick the ball away, he just froze and watched the ball roll into his stumps and dislodge a bail.
Dawson confirmed as the replacement.
Brave or foolish by Pant?
Whatever you say, the guy is box office.
Bowl those Yorkers.
Would have had Archer on straight away aiming for those toes.
Typical that Crawley makes runs just when everyone’s patience was running out.
