Desperate really ![]()
and 100% facts!
Looks like Wood has a hamstring issue already
Looks more like he felt tightness and went off as a precausion rather than an actual injury.
But with his injury record, you can never tell for sure.
Looks like England may get a full-strength side on the pitch (for once) but, even with Cummins and now Hazlewood unavailable, they’ll have to go some to beat Australia I reckon.
Yeah, Boland is about 99% as good as Hazlewood, so not much of a loss there.
I think if he does play, that is a huge and unnecessary gamble, putting his longevity in the series at risk, but also setting up the chance that England play 4 or maybe the full 5 days of the first test with one fewer bowling, compounding the workload on Archer increasing his risk of also breaking down. Its just stupid selection if it happens.
We aren’t going to do that with Hazelwood. Mind you, we have better bowlers waiting in the wings than England have so there’s that as well.
Yeah, England don’t have the luxury of playing it safe. They have to gamble on Archer and Wood as there’s no one else.
They have a lot riding on this policy of extreme pace, which could be successful, but it’s asking a lot of those two bowlers given their injury problems.
I’d have my doubts it will hold 5 tests.
Here’s a ridiculously over the top take on the upcoming series…
What the fuck did I just read ![]()
It’s in the ‘so bad it’s good’ territory ![]()
Can’t be arsed reading that, from its headline, because it just won’t be EPIC enough!!! ![]()
I mean, I love Test cricket but the Ashes especially have been over-hyped since 2005.
Spoilsport!
Watching the Aussie video on what English player they would have, one was serious, one was amusing but two just said no one, like whats the point lads at least be creative and say the weather or something.
Well, I read it after all @Bekloppt and I’m shaking my head in wonder. So many words to say so little… ![]()
It’s one of sports great rivalries.
I have organised to ‘work from home’ on Friday.
It sure is, and I’m as enthralled by it as many others are, but some of the noise that tends to surround it these days is tiresome especially from the BBC.
I can imagine WFH production levels will drop significantly on Friday ![]()
