The Cricket Thread

You can never tell which version of England will turn up from day to day.

If they go 2-0 down, I can’t see them fighting back like in 2023 though.

The thing is, a draw is out of the equation with this England team, so it’s all or nothing really.

Great call by England to extend their batting only for the No.11 to be your 3rd best batter :face_with_tongue:

Is this the level of sledging these days?
Pitiful really

Anyway, it’s not that hot in Brisbane, only 29°.

Archer has been awful so far.

That was very soft from Head. Done the hard work seeing off the new ball and was looking good, but that dismissal was very weak

Painful watching this England bowling.

Head over to the golf for a while.

That’s uncalled for.

I’m flicking between cricket and golf atm.

Got off the golf course in 40 degrees a couple of hours ago and the beer is perfection.

Remote beer TV that’s a good Friday arvo.

Where’s your golf course? Out west?

But on another note, how tight are his glutes?

@mattyhurst? Opinion?

I’ve got a mate who was talking about his glutes recently. I thought it was something to do with Chinese food.

Oatlands GC just north of Parramatta near Kings School. Good track.

Ok, now I know why it was hot. I’m in Redfern. A bit less sweaty.

Weatherald is really getting drawn into that cut shot too close too the body and too high. He’s been great but not a fan of that shot selection.

EDIT: … And gets a 4 from exactly that…

I was half-joking when I suggested that.
But now, not so much.

So, this much-vaunted all-out pace attack from England…

I see nothing to change my original forecast of another loss.

Yeah, my prediction is looking good.
