I am sitting here with a smile on my face though hearing serial Stokes-gusher Alison Mitchell, Botham and co being thrilled with the positive cricket England are playing today. Like in Perth: “No not that positive type of cricket”. Brisbane? “No, not that type of positive cricket”. Like Adelaide? “No, no no”.
Man, the media are getting the lock in for Baz and co being saved post this series. “Let’s just pretend the 3 first most important games of the series don’t exist”.

Never underestimate the stupidity of your fellow man. If they win this by 6 or 7 wickets at a run a ball all the articles will be about Bazball being vindicated, Macullum will be wearing that smirk post match and all the players will be on about how they dug in and believe in what they’re doing.

If that was the plan, why not send out Root or Stokes?
I guess they wanted him to throw his bat for a quick 20 or 30.
