Shame if that’s the end of Buttler’s England career, really no need to play a shot like that.

I think India are likely to loose this game…

We got to 100 faster…

India still overwhelming favourites, it’s all on this partnership really.

Well, you can’t say they didn’t try…
.

Bethell was outstanding, shame some of the others around him couldn’t quite get going. Wouldn’t have celebrated overly if they’d done it though, that pitch is an absolute disgrace.

And india are going to lose the finals

Well a bit of pride restored considering the awful winter.

I was worried they’d fall over at 95-4, but fair play to them for taking it so close.

NZ are winning this. India have a really bad record in that stupid stadium in Gujarat.

Not that I disagree with you but the vast majority of cricket fans would and the ICC is probably still wiping the boardrooms clean after the collective orgasm last night. 500 runs with just 7 runs the difference. Big smiles all round, I can tell you that.

The match was over by the first two deliveries of that over. The last 3 6’s made the scoreline come closer though but by that time the Indians just wanted the three deliveries to be legal ones and weren’t overly looking at the result of the three deliveries.

Bumrah is such a cheatcode or a get out of jail card for India.

45 off 18 deliveries , England did incredibly well to get to that point and the two overs after that went for a combined 15 runs

Do you think they have started on the boardrooms yet or are they still cleaning up their collective underware?

England not even attempting to attack Bumrah in that over was baffling. He’s a great all format bowler probably the GOAT. But atleast try to get a boundary a over.

Brook dropping that catch while India took all theirs was the difference. Very overrated cricketer that Harry Brook. I’d question his mentality to make it at the very top of the game, ala Ponting, Root, Kallis. Felt it really showed that his cricketing brain is letting him down in the ashes and he’s done nothing since to suggest he’s got it to deserve the hype. Bethall, who seemed to sueprisingly really tire physically as his innings went on, seems a much more balanced and exciting prospect. And Jack may be a good t20 player but his bowling certainly isn’t selection as an off spinner in test cricket standard.

He’s got probably the best slower ball(s) ever. Greatest bowler ever? For me there are probably at least 10 players ahead of him - even if some precede T20.

Name them. I tried running all the names

Only Marshall and Steyn come close.

Look at his average and SR in all formats

Purely tests.

Not even considering other formats.

And the funny thing , india actually play the tougher sides more often than they play the easy opposition.

Before wyld comes in berating me for stats. I’m just representing my case.
