Good choice I’ve always ridden a compact. Currently a 50 29 and still could do with a smaller gear (or two) to avoid grinding up stuff over 10% - 50/34 will be my next choice to allow a bit more sitting and spinning.
I know what this stuff is but have honestly never paid a blind bit of attention to it. Not sure I want to now either or the wallet might take another hammering

He is. That crash he had while leading the Tour some time back was horrific. But I think G won it that year so life sucks.
