You haven’t given me any suggestions for the Welsh stage yet!!!

Going to watch it somewhere near Caerphilly, I think.

What kind of scenery do you want?

Option 1

A470 just south of Brecon on the climb up to Pen y Fan.

I’d love to troop up a hill and stand on the side of the road for 6hrs for 30secs of action…

However, I did that on my honeymoon when the Tour finished on The Mall…not sure it will fly a second time…

I’ll have the kids this time as well () so being in a town will be necessary…

Sympathies. I get,

“I want to go on long walk in some woods”
3 hrs later
“Why did you take me somewhere without toilets?”

One other option is between Maerdy and Aberdare. Sadly they’re going over the top the wrong way but Aberdare is literally down the hill. Not much in Maerdy. Great climb with switchbacks coming the other way. Could get awkward driving into Aberdare thinking about it. The road is narrow at the bottom unless they stop people parking there.

Caerphilly is a good shout or you chance the finish line.

Pog: Don’t want to carry that that yellow jersey, you can have some fun wearing it and have your team doing some work in front.

Torstein Traeen appears to be the leader of the Tour after today.

He is.

Dream week for Norwegians @Magnus

Torsten, a cancer survivor in yellow.
He’ll have the aerobic engine but not the strength to row unfortunately.

Blowing up now and it’s not even on the last climb. Pog and del Toro are destroying them. Now Pog just went off on his own.

Unfortunately, the yellow jersey Torstein Traeen clipped his teammate’s wheel while going down the mountain. Bad tumbled. :frowning:
He just got back on his bike though (He’s been on the side for a long time.)

Which year will Pog break Cav’s TDF stage wins record?

2030 maybe earlier.

Honestly remarkable rider.

BUT he was on the small chain ring up the Tourmalet. That tarnished it for me.

Dude…

I was thinking 2028 would be pushing it!!

My head’s gone. I was thinking 3 years max so 2029.

Must have been watching Vingegaard grind up that mountain on a massive 1x crankset.

Food for thought of he could have gone quicker with something a little easier

Big Blow as Former Yellow Jersey Torstein Træen Exits Tour de France

Taken to hospital for checks, Træen got some unwelcome news, as confirmed by his squad.

“Torstein passed the roadside concussion assessment after the crash and was able to continue to the finish in Gavarnie-Gèdre. However, following further assessment by the Uno-X Mobility medical staff, analysis of the data from his helmet sensor and X-rays in the medical truck, he has been diagnosed with a concussion and multiple rib fractures,” Uno-X Mobility said in a statement.

“He will now follow the team’s concussion protocol in the coming days and will not continue in the race.”

Honestly felt for the guy when he crashed like that. Almost clumsy.

Some were hitting 110kph down parts of that descent. That’s a tad under 70mph. :face_with_peeking_eye:

I called it

Pog is kicking the others hard while they are down. He is utterly ruthless!
