Hahaha. It was a post so perfectly crafted to get a response it smelled a lot like bait ![]()
Bait or not, it’s so like me to take it! There are things where I draw the line (and change posters’ avatars to select pictures of Man United legends) and this is one of them.
Don’t you react to my posts, you backstabbing, greatest-cosmic-horror-film-of-all-time doubting git! Yeah, yeah, you!
What gave you that idea? All they do is sit around listening to heavy metal.
House of dynamite - I don’t get it. It was a 30 min plot that trod absolutely zero new ground and told in a non-linear, PoV switching structure that added nothing. At no point in the second or third run through did you learn anything that made you rethink what you’d already seen and so as a storytelling device all it did was stretch a 30 min first act into a 90 min “film”
Such a half baked project
I kept hoping that the next iteration of the story would finally be the one that introduced something new, and then it was over…
T’was a bag of shite.
The fact the president was only ever calling in and never on camera for the first 2 chapters made me think there had to be some big revelation that would come in his chapter. But nope.
It sounds like a failed attempt to remake “By Dawn’s Early Light”.
Just watched Bugonia. No spoilers, loved it.
of all the things that cancel culture has affected, surely Michael Jackson should be in the crosshairs…or at least a discussion and an investigation…
i mean he admitted to sleeping with kids didnt he?, regardless of whther you want to believe he did or didnt touch them, using his influence to go to bed with a twelve year old?
maybe Trump should just play that card…‘yeah i spent the night with such and such but nothing happened’…
I think it was even weirder. He arranged sleepovers for kids, as if he was trying to relive a lost childhood (which from all accounts, he had).
It’s a common feature that when people get rich enough, no one will say “no” to them. Unfortunately for him, that included his doctor.
Yeah. I understand the “I can separate the art from the artist” perspective if people’s affection for the work has remained unchanged, but there is a big difference between continuing to listen to and enjoy the music and making a biopic of him. Especially one being done to paint him in such a positive light as this one seemingly is. It’s really gross and it reflects really poorly on everyone involved.
I liked the first half of Weapons - then they just go ahead and reveal the bad guy right around the half-way point and the rest of the film just felt like them going backwards to explain what you’ve already seen. I was really bored by the end.
Urgh. I was just listening to a film podcast that made clear this is a project driven by the Jackson estate and was clearly presented as a white washing. They reportedly even put the word out around town to the creatives that they were not comfortable with a portrayal of an innocent Jackson then this was not the project for them. It reportedly even went into production with a third act that included character assassinations of the accusers a presenting Jackson as the wronged party, but ended up having to pivot late in production once they found out the pay offs included clauses explicitly preventing the jackson estate from speaking about the accusers, presumably as protection against this very bullshit.
The whole thing is gross and my opinion on Coleman Domingo has plummeted
MJ the musical has been doing the rounds here this year and apparently fine performances as you would expect.
When asked to go I said I’m not watching that Peddo. Well didn’t that ruffle a few feathers.
I just had a message from my son in Bremen. I’m visiting at the end of the month and I asked him if he fancied watching anything at the cinema.
He said that Zootropolis 2 is out. I remember that everyone enjoyed the original film when it came out but I was still surprised that he fancied that rather than his usual murder-death-kill stuff. Anyway, he sent me a link for the new trailer…
I’m pretty sure that wasn’t actually the trailer.
First point: Little bastard. I’d rather be Rick-rolled.
Second point: they really will make a spoof porn film of literally anything, won’t they? The things they were doing to that poor rabbit. Good grief!
