Nope. I was actually expecting a Das Boot with tanks. It’s actually something a bit more cerebral. The film I was thinking of is really to do with the ending. There’s not much else in common.
I saw this come up the other night. Nearly watched it but went for The Relay instead. Pretty good that one too.
I got conned into watching the last Mission Impossible - wow, what a clownish, absurdly bad project that was. The bad guy was having fun but his performance was more worthy of a scooby doo episode
Just watched Marty Supreme. Overall I liked it, but personally felt part of the ending was not what it should have been.

Calmer than you are!
Just watched Hamnet, a good film. Speed runs the early set up but hits the important beats and sticks the landing. Lots of acclaim for the adults in the film, which I understand, but in a film like this it’s the child actors who determine how well it lands and the three main kids all put in strong performances
I just found out I have been paying for Paramount as a hidden charge on my phone bill. I cancelled it as soon as I found out and then did a quick check on what was worth watching before I lost access. I chose the Running Man remake, and a what a charmless and pointless project that was.
I saw a trailer for it and couldn’t believe what they had done.
Quite enjoyed this trailer. Looking forward to the movie
For all the lessons they could have learned from the Dolph disaster, I dont get why they went back to the weird idea of a cross Eternia/Earth story.
Never was sure why to you need a sword and a lightning strike to change into a furry loin cloth and instantly become unrecognisable but each to their own I guess
Yeah, that aspect doesn’t look great to me. And, no matter how well Jared Leto acts, his films usually aren’t that great either so a lot of things going against this movie already.
However, I do admit that despite the lame ’ I have the Power’ call I’ve never been a fan of - hearing it did give me goosebumps and I am also excited to see what they do with Cringer/ Battle Cat.

Yeah agree with this. But everything else looks epic to me!
Limie, for this joke to work, you’d have to find someone who actually cares about Oscar and gives even a tiny bit of credence to it.
I think I’ve told you already that the only stand-outs about that film are Michael B. Jordan’s performance and Jerry Cantrell’s song on the soundtrack.
The Rip - interesting premise and compelling to see Damon and Affleck together, but it’s just mediocre. Standard Netflix flick, where they have to throw big explosions at you every 15 mins just to make sure you haven’t zoned out. This is a film that could have been quite good had they made it for the cinema instead
Del Toro’s Frankenstein - ho hum. Pretty, but at this point this stuff is just tired.
