The Film Thread

Yeah, same here. I had never thought about him as an action hero guy. But I thought he was a great cast for Taken, defintely felt he elevated that from something potentially dreadful into very decent action movies.

Talking about Liam Neeson, I can’t think beyond The Schindler’s List. Terrific movie.

Many of the movies I enjoyed watching have already been listed. But didn’t see any mention of 12 Angry Men. Another excellent movie.
And continuing on the theme of jury based movies, on the other end of spectrum is My Cousin Vinnie. An enjoyable watch.

I prefer to pretend that those movies never happened.

But both Liam Neeson and Ewan Macgregor (For Phantom Menace ) atleast were well cast

Rob Roy Official Trailer #1 - John Hurt Movie (1995) HD - YouTube

Surely we can’t mention Liam Neeson without mentioning Rob Roy…
No guns back then but he still had those ‘special set of skills’ :0)

This was fun. Few Good Men ofcourse makes the cut (As would be obviously mentioned). I liked Lincoln Lawyer too.

Are there any other such movies ?

Just watched Apollo 10 1/2 on Netflix. Was a timely viewing after watching some of the Artemis test run earlier so really put me in the mood for this. Though I was not alive then, I enjoyed the nostalgic trip back to the late 60s and would recommend this to anyone else who can’t wait to see man back on the moon.

I very much look forward to humans on the moon. Given the utter clusterfuck of sls, will more than likely be pure Spacex.

Hi all, so it turns out Hudson Hawk was actually really shit. Like, watching through your hands because you’re cringing type shit.

I guess 10 year old Limie was an easily amused twat.

I mean, I didn’t want to say after your post liking it as I thought you know, it takes all sorts etc… but yes it is a genuinely terrible film.

You mean with juries? Loads.

A time to kill
The juror
Runaway jury
Devil’s Advocate
Murder in the first

Just a few off the top of my head.

I presume you mean the Henry Fonda version rather than the remake?

One of my all time favourites.

I’ve never seen it, but I enjoy the Hancock version.

“What about Magna Carta? Did she die in vain?”

Hmm, so I’ll skip the rewatch then. What about the Last Boy Scout, don’t tell me you’re slaughtering that one as well. Another childhood memory up in flames?

It’s been ages since I saw a film that I really enjoyed, but last week I saw two. Liquorice Pizza, (which was miles better than I was expecting), and this little gem;

I loved cheers. Amazing if true about his earnings!

Imagine my surprise when I rewatched Night on Earth and realised that Esposito was there as well - a few months after I had finished Breaking Bad!

V for Vendetta, most excellent
