Road to Guatemala… Not a movie but more of a documentary. Really good watch

Feels like I haven’t watched a film in months.

Black & Blue - First film I’ve seen Naomi Harris in a lead role and gotta say she pulls this off…the connection she had with Tyrese Gibson to fight off the corrupt cops and make the gangsters see the truth was 140mins well worth the watch…few nice twists in there and a satisfying ending that brought a tear or 2 to my eye.

Dr Strange 2

Holy Shit! :exploding_head:

Finally got around to watching the newest Spiderman in the week. I really liked the idea and thought the interactions among the various Peters was great (especially some lines seeming to indicate Andrew Garfield knew his Spiderman was the worst one), but it wasn’t enough to save it from action overload.

Watching it later today, not hopeful.

Make sure you watch until the end of the credits for the last scene…

I’d actually say it’s one if the few end credit scenes not worth waiting for to be honest.

My god that was awful . The writers just gave up with about 25 mins to go and decided to take a shit ton of drugs and trust to luck. Once again Disney puts the star in the shadow and makes a show about the lead strong women. They knew that Scarlet Witch the movie wouldn’t sell well but Dr Strange would. Avoid.

Love Actually?

Al all day.

Don’t try to answer that question. It’s a trap.

Don’t Breathe 2.

Loved the first 1 which tempted me to watch the 2nd at some point.

2nd one definitely has more of a back story to it (a sickening 1 at that) and has more action but I preferred the 1st purely because of its simplicity featuring Stephen Lang.

Following todays disappointing (although totally expected) denouement, there’s only one thing for it…

Used to enjoy Clint, but the more I see of him offscreen, the more I realise he’s just a racist and bitter old man, so I don’t tend to watch him anymore.

Broadly agree that he’s as you describe him… although he would say that Gran Torino proves otherwise.

But these films take me back.

Is anyone looking forward to seeing this biopic on Elvis by Baz Luhrmann?

I liked his Romeo and Juliet version. It went down well with the students at schools.

I know trailers can be deceiving, but this looks spectacular. I have seen quite a few films made on Elvis’s life which were alright. It is difficult to bring an influential huge musical icon life story to celluloid.

I think Elvis was at his best in the late 1960s to 1973, after his 1968 comeback show. I liked some of the Elvis films as well.

From the trailer it looks like it may be interesting. Moreso the stuff that happens before he ‘makes it’. I am a big fan of Gatsby also by Luhrmann, though I appreciate why it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Dead Man Down.

Can’t believe I’ve never come across this film before…or maybe I have, not sure.

Definitely my type, a revenge plot done a bit differently, didn’t mind it at all.
