Love supernatural horror movies myself.
The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a great slow burner with a finger cast of Brian Cox and Emile Hersh(sp?)

I love Saw, to me one of the best and smartest gore movies ever. Of course as with most series go, the first few are always the best. What sets it apart from other gore series like Hostel, is it always make me wonder even if the contraptions are in movies, to even think of them, the minds are quite twisted. And the antagonist or rather to me, the protagonist, Jigsaw has a rather noble yet twisted sense of justice that led to all these.

Actually one of the best supernatural horror movies to me is Sixth Sense…it makes you go what the fuck without ever seeing any scary ghouls. Of course I do enjoy many others like the one you mention, Autopsy of Jane Doe and even cult classics like Jeepers Creepers.

Just finished rewatching Life of Brian and Holy Grail. Meaning of Life up next. Been a very relaxing Saturday.

Life of Brian. High level stuff. Comedic brilliance. What would today’s prim cancelers make of it? Why, Michael Palin playing a homosexual? Outrageous and hurtful! Terry Jones dressed as a woman? Why couldn’t they cast a real woman?

Python is undoubtedly the greatest example of British humour - surreal, complex, challenging, inciteful and above all funny.

Saying that, the Meaning of Life was a big disappointment - though even that has some comedic gold in it. And I have always hated the lazy ending of The Holy Grail.

Jeepers Creepers was excellent until it showed the Creeper. Kind of lost its way then.
Night of the Scarecrow from the 80s scared the bejesus out of me as a kid.
Horror comedies you can’t look further than An American Werewolf in London and Shaun of the Dead. Still the best werewolf movie made with Dog Soldiers a very close second.

Sixth Sense was very good. A little predictable despite the twist imo though. I remember watching it in the cinema and copping on about half way!

PS. I ain’t super smart or bragging, just thought it was predictable.

Oh the 80s were great…the Amityville series, The Fly, Serpent And The Rainbow…so many classics…I remembered in Singapore, when cinemas were not very common then, and video tape rental was just starting to get popular, I would go rent a number of these horror movies to watch as a kid with the rest of my family. Good times…

Good movie, lots of twists.

The Commitments is a great Irish comedy with a rocking soundtrack. A lot of people prefer The Snapper (both written by Irish author Roddy Doyle) but for me The Commitments is far better.

RD… Check out, The Boys From County Clare
Similar vein to the Commitments but definitely
worth watching for the performance of Colm Meaney… :+1:

Cheers. Don’t think I’ve seen that one. Colm Meaney epitomises every Irish dad in almost everything I’ve seen him in, including Star Trek!

Someone mentioned Jeepers Creepers.

Jeepers Creepers 2 was the only horror movie I’ve watched in cinema but I can’t remember much.

Was too busy with my date :hugs::smirk::stuck_out_tongue::wink:

Meet Joe Black
Had Brad Pitt playing a good part also

Hopkins + Pitt in Meet Joe Black and Legends of the fall - very good combination.

What would you rate Legends of the fall? Think personally I like it a bit more than Joe Black.
