My point exactly
That is brilliant work from the police.
Sachsen deportieren!
My contribution to again derailing this thread :
your post reminds me of my only trip to Sachsen, back in 1992 when my hometown team ( SaarbrĂźcken ) had an away game at Chemnitz and for us it was a decisive game : a win would mean going up to the Bundesliga. For Chemnitz the game had no big importance and thatâs why there were only about 3000 people there, about 600 or 700 of them us traveling fans. As the GDR had collapsed just less than 3 years ago our favorite chant in order to wind them up was âErich war ein Saarländerâ ( Erich Honecker, the chief of state was born in the Saarland ) and it worked, they were really mad. When Chemnitz had a free kick in front of our block we sang âErich, zieh die Mauer hochââŚfor us big fun, for them enough to be annoyed big time
We won 3:1 and so were promoted. On the way home we were escorted for more an hour by the police so they were really sure we had left - never before and after did we have an escort for so long.
AaaahâŚsweet youthâŚ
Shouldnât surprise anyone. Fascists standing by fascists.
And just to be clear - the AfD has no real answers to any economic problems Germany has, theyâd only make them worse.Imho. But thatâs not what they actually care about.
This should be where the focus of attacks on them should be in an election campaign about. Instead of letting them dictate the talking points. Again, imho.
JD Vance wonât meet Germanyâs
Scholz at Munich Security Conference âWe donât need to see him, he wonât be chancellor long,â a former U.S. official said of Vanceâs thinking.â

In my opinion the best way of taking wind out of their sails is to let them talk and not interrupting them, which happens a lot when they are in talkshows. Last night Weidel was on TV and the more she spoke the more obvious it became that she has no empathy at all and that her âanswersâ to economic problems donât hold up against facts.
The question is, is that also true for the people who would vote for the AfD, or do they simply see things differently?
I find it worrying, because thatâs what people said about Trump in 2016 and here we are.
Good point. All the more depressing.

Vance talks about the âBrandmauerâ

Theyâre a 20 (+ ?) party. Fucking sick and tired of everything revolving around these voters tbh. If you listen to much of the campaign and the discourse, youâd think it was all about the AfD vs the Greens. Itâs kind of ludicrous.
As for the AfD - I think a grown-up society has to accept that there are certain percentages who have xenophobic, sometimes racist, tendencies. Thatâs always been the case, everywhere. And thereâs another percentage that will be very susceptible to that in difficult, changing times, particularly if there actually are some real life issues with immigration (which we undoubtedly do have). Itâs the oldest thing in the book. Itâs also often just a fuck you vote.
You donât counter that with emotional, short circiut over-reactions and letting them dictate what is being talked about. Immigration and the managment of that is an issue, pretty much everyone agrees with that, but itâs hardly the only one. Itâs also not just a horror story, but there are also success stories and positives.
Completely agree with you, but who sets the agenda of what is talked about? The media. And who owns the big media outlets?
I think that the AfD have sympathisers among them, just like in other countries, ie. the US.
I do find it perversely amusing that Vance would underplay the Russian threat to Europe on the day that a Russian drone hit the Chernobyl containment.
The arrogance of these cunts is breathtaking.
