I’ve never driven my car through there!

I drive through there every two weeks (on average) through the season. I’ve also done the tour with my two eldest Grandsons. Will do it again when the youngest ones reach twelve years of age. :+1::nerd_face:

A list without The Hague is a BS list.

How come it’s “London, UK” and “Tokyo, Japan” etc but just “Chicago” and “Lagos”.

I don’t know, its Forbes made up list :woman_shrugging:t2:

In case people don’t know where London and Tokyo are.

While simultaneously knowing Chicago is in USA and Lagos is in Nigeria. That will be a huge number of people then.

The rest of Asia outside of Tokyo must be one hell of a shit hole

As opposed to London, Ontario or Tokyo, Texas

yeah because they are realistically the big cities that anyone other than redneck imbred americans think of when asked best cities of the world and the responses include London, Berlin and Paris?

You know the joke that people say about thinking Singapore is a province in China. I heard it for myself when I was in a small town in upstate New York. And that Taiwan ‘is it the place that is famous for Tom Yum?’

Hope this is the best thread to ask.

Any hotel (or similar) suggestions for a short stay in the City?

Will be there for the Burnley Match next week so ideally something not far from Anfield and Airport.

Thanks.

I had good stays in Travelodge Liverpool docks and The Dolby. Both not too far from Anfield and Airport and centre of town. Prices are friendlier than most hotels but still not very cheap of course

Premier Inn is good and the city centre one.
I stayed in a Boutique hotel in Duke Street, walkable to the Waterfront, Three Graces, Albert Dock.

When i went to Anfield, i took a taxi.

As Woolten mentioned, stay away from the Adelphi hotel.

NB: with premier Inn. It has all your basic needs,it is neat and clean. I stayed in one in Glasgow and Manchester recently. There is a restaurant next door where you can have breakfast and lunch and dinner etc

Good news if any of our visitors fancy a swim

The River Mersey of my youth was a cess pit. Some good news in the midst of the gloom.

Reverses the trend seen in most of the country’s rivers too, doesn’t it?
