The Blue Planet aquarium is great @richieh_10 but it is quite far out, and If you were to go to Chester Zoo and the BP aquarium youā€™d be making a very similar journey on two separate days. Of the two Iā€™d be picking Chester zoo every time.

Iā€™d recommend going to the World history museum instead, thereā€™s an aquarium on the first floor which is obviously not as good as the BP but good enough for a 3 and 5 year old to enjoy, and the museum in general is well worth the visit. .

Thereā€™s also Knowsley safari park or you could go strawberry picking in Claremont farm over in the wirral. The ferry across the mersey is another thing most kids tend to enjoy.

You could take them up to Formby and let them run around the beach/dunes and pinewoods (home to red squirrels!). On a different note, thereā€™s spring city trampoline park just outside the city centre, Iā€™m sure theyā€™d enjoy that too.

Where to park the car when you are doing a tour?

Will probably be a Wednesday around mid day

Not exactly in Liverpool but near enough but has anybody been to Gullivers world theme park in Warrington?

Yeah, have seen that as well:

Thatā€™s bad news.

Is it really bad news? What does the city get for being a Unesco heritage site?

So basically, thanks to Everton, Liverpool has been replaced by a slate dump in Wales.

(No offence to the Welsh!)

Hi guys,

Staying up on the weekend at the Childwall Abbey hotel which I think is in an area called Childwall near Wavertree.

Has anybody got any experience of bars and Indian restaurants in this area please

Also

Either area/location is less than a 5min taxi ride or 15-20min walkā€¦
The Hotel will have plenty of brochures on display no doubtā€¦
Childwall Fiveways Pub is a 5min walk from Hotel. There is also an Indian Restaurant opposite (Spiceways I think)
The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant is on Childwall Abbey Road itself (No.4)
Gateacre village (5mins away) has a few good pubs with good food alsoā€¦
There is lots of good choice within a small radius so I am sure you will find what you want
Good Luck :+1:

Any personal recommendations?

Weā€™re gonna be after bars with good atmosphere, bit of music but not so loud you canā€™t have a conversation with the person sat next to you

A lot of people from miles around do a pub crawl through Woolton Villageā€¦ The White Horse, The Elephant Pub, Coffee House Pub etcā€¦ If you do this, it would be good also if you donā€™t miss the (quieter ones shall we say), Gardeners Arms & Derby Arms on Vale Road, The Cobden - The Victoria & The Grapes in Quarry Street
Maybe this is the way to go and discover what suits youā€¦
Different times will offer different atmosphereā€¦
All pubs in the surrounding area are likely to be lively Fri/Sat nightā€¦
Should google the names to get a better idea for yourselfā€¦
They all worth a visit thoughā€¦

If those coppers lived in the Highlands it would feel like the wild westā€¦!
Makes sense to put a stop to it roamingā€¦
But
It also makes sense to have taken another form of action to save the stagā€¦
What nextā€¦ Cats and dogs roaming by a main roadā€¦

At least it was shot to protect the public and not just for sport, like in the ā€˜highlandsā€™.
