Not sure I follow…
Where is the unrestrained glee or the soiled pants from laughing too hard??
There is no doubt recruitment at Utd is poor. However, Ole didn’t have a good reputation for buying well when he went there, and we don’t know what involvement he has now.
Man Utd need to start from scratch, they need to pick the right man and then the right recruitment then get the youth coming through and develop players they sign.
Liverpool can now go out and get the Thiago’s of this world because for 4 solid seasons Klopp has built a team, we’ve sold at a high and bought reasonably well.
We had to sell to buy, we took chances on players and gambled as in the case with Coutinho. Klopp finally built a team, it’s a team I see with us and I frankly don’t see that anywhere else in that top 5, I would say Arteta is slowly doing something similar at Arsenal and Ancelotti is at Everton but the rest it’s just buy a player and dump last years buy on the bench.
Man Utd have to realise like Arsenal and Spurs too at some point that they need a whole rebuild and if that means selling their best player so be it, Fernandes is the only thing they got right.
Dortmund don’t need to be bullied they would sell Sancho at the right price, but evidently Sancho isn’t too bothered and why would you. We used to talk of Liverpool being a hard city to sell to players but only if your playing in the same ball park as the other clubs. Having seen 4 years in the CL in a row, with two finals and one win in the previous 3, with a further European final and a league trophy, players want to come here, because you don’t want to look back on your career and realise players couldn’t shine your shoes have trophy’s galore and you have nothing.
Torres made some comments similar and he is right in a way.
Klopp is just one component, but Klopp is also as Henderson says the driving force behind this team, Edwards is also a major component and the players have gelled and got to respect one another, Jota’s comments about them all going over to celebrate with him rings true, instantly you arrive, Klopp wanted you and the team respects that.
Scratch that for a start.
I’m not surprised their board doesn’t want to plump for Sancho. They’ve been rinsed countless times in shite players over the years. Fellaini, Di Maria, Memphis, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Pogba, Sanchez, Maguire, AWB, etc etc
Odd post to be honest.
What players does he want other than say Sancho? By all accounts last year he got AWB, Maguire and Fernandes (albeit belatedly). “The Dutch guy” is a creative midfielder so are they still needing one of those?
Some reasons why they can’t get the players they want in at a reasonable cost are:
- Massively inflated fees for the players Ole wanted = bullied for every other target they pursue;
- Can’t shift on deadwood on insane wages because the whole world knows United have no intention of playing them;
- They are subsidising wages of players that are no longer with the club (in part because the manager went around telling the world he didn’t want to use them).
The squad is woefully underperforming at the moment and has been since they beat PSG in the Champions League a couple of seasons ago. That is on the manager just as much as the playing group.
Watch the Brighton game from last week and see if you still think the “they are setting Ole Gunnar up for a fall”
They’ll end up signing Josh King.
You guys are delusional, of course players want to go to Man U and play under Ole. Just look at Ighalo!
Man United can’t get Sancho so they will settle for Dembele instead… the most disappointing purchase in the history of Barcelona! What could possibly go wrong?
That’s if they can finish 3rd
i think it’s far simpler than that.
That reason is Ole. With him at the helm there is no guarantee that they challenge for the CL places. From the outside the club looks disjointed. Why go there when they have other, more stable options with at least the same if not better prospects.
So funny watching them on the Caf getting frustrated with their transfer dealings, long may it continue.
Now I heard that Dembele is off and instead Manchester United is signing a 34 year old Edinson Cavani. LOL. What a total JOKE! Manchester United has become a laughingstock if THIS is their biggest signing of the transfer window!!
Goldbridge venting live. Has the demeanour of a broken man.
Best thing on YT, this.
Cavani on 200k.
lol
And I’m just tucking into some of Mrs SBYM’s apple crumble with glass of red.
What a night!!!
