I cant see why they would want Cavani. Surely that is going to get in the way of the development of Greenwood and Rashford. Of all the team’s problems, surely it isn’t the lack of a 9?

Cavani was the number 1 target, so Woodward used Sancho in order to lower Cavani’s asking price. A master negotiator, hats off to him.

I’m starting to think that United chasing Sancho is just a smoke screen to try pleasing their fans into thinking they are after the big named players,when in reality they are losing over £5mill every home game in matchday revenues,a huge wage bill to pay (i don’t believe for 1 second they payed off Sanchez with £9mill to get him off the books,when he had 2 years left on his contract worth around £55mill),they have £400mill+ debts to pay off and have to pay back tv money like the rest of us.
If they could sell the players they don’t need then they’d have a half decent pot of cash to play with but they can’t shift the dead wood,the Glazers will still want their cut of any profits aswell,which in turn is putting Ed Woodward in the position of not being able to splash out like previous seasons,so he’s playing a blinder with Sancho and scrambling around trying to pick up big name has beens and 3rd option players,just to say to the fans,you can see we tried all summer but these were the only players we could get.

Haha… United Pensioners Club… And they pay 10 million Euros as agent fees same as the fee we paid for Robertson… And he is on more than 10 million pounds a year on two year deal… Hicks and Gillet who were terrible will be legends compared to Glazers…

If they signed Cavani in the end, they are at least not as stupid as I think they are. Although it remains to be seen how successful Cavani will be. The player is a fantastic player but this club and managers had been butchering the careers of the best of players
