The Manchester United Thread: That's It. That's the Joke (Part 1)

I’ve just seen the game on Match of the Day and I’ve never heard the words Cleverly and brilliant in the same sentence before.

Just love it that only part of the board wants him sacked. This is the real fantasy football.

My Chelsea supporting mate said “I literally pray he doesn’t get sacked, they come to the Bridge next week, we could hit them for 12.”

So your Chelsea supporting mate thinks they’re more than twice better than we are? Arrogant cunt!

We got bored after 50 minutes and decided to play keep ball, it was a bit too easy scoring goals.

Think 8 is more likely. Figure they’ll get 2…(insert scoreline joke).

Damn.

Believing in this esoteric nonsense of the utd way was all he ever had. There was never any substance behind it though, and so now its all unravelling he doesnt have anything else to pull from. Expect him to cite Mark Robbins saving Fergie’s job (he didnt) and the importance of patience.

Decent sub who popped up with some important goals for a top Man Utd side… he was never close to being a main player in it.

Somehow that has matriculated to him being Man Utd manager? Molde, Cardiff… there’s nothing on the cv that should get him near the job.

The club is rotten to the core under the Glazers. Not in a human rights sense, but in a dodgy business sense. They are leveraged buyout specialists, and the fact that they are a money making machine based on two decades of a lot of success under Ferguson is what enables the Glazers to dip their hand in the till, liberally.

A new manager won’t fix it. But it will be difficult for them to get someone worse than Solksjaer.

Never mind Ole. Get rid of most of the players (obviously not the ones that Ole has signed, they’re all brill). Get the board to give him £Hundred Millions and get a completely new squad in.
Have faith in Ole. It’s the shyte players that are the problem.
Could you imagine Zidane after a defeat? Scowling away. At least Ole makes defeats bearable for the Utd faithful with his boyish smile and a twinkle in his eye.

Manchester United are accelerating their attempts to persuade former Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane to take over as manager. United have apparently increased their financial offer to the 49-year-old Frenchman to succeed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford. (Times - subscription required)

It’s done according to The Athletic.

We’ll just have to turn our attention to the fact their squad is still totally shite.
