Yeah that’s true on the money part, we were left behind in multiple aspects in that period. But on the decisions and football part, it’s pretty much the same. Same issues, apart from the odd cup success here and there.

I think your just spouting easy ‘arguements’ without thinking about what your proposing. Yes we made errors on the management front (culminating in Hodgson) and made some duff purchases but it’s just nowhere near the same league as Manure are at. On paper they still have good players we at times had decent players and of course Stevie.
Of course it doesn’t really matter but I think getting a concensus on ‘our’ history and getting it about right is fairly important for future generations.

I wasn’t following in 90’s, but it seems to me like there is a link with continuous bad decisions, living in the past, etc. Of course they have more money now than we had at the time.
