Speaking of the Caf…

We all believe the Glazers don’t like spending money (despite £1BN being spent since Fergie left but that’s a discussion for another day) but this Summer is going to require £300M - £400 MINIMUM. If we want to keep challenging. We are in danger of losing so many players.

This is awesome for several reasons, but of most interest to me is the ‘keep challenging’ comment.

Utd have been challenging??

Who knew??

They’ve been challenging their fans to stay watching with the football they play

I’m actually amused with this part. Don’t they realize losing players like Pogba, etc. is a huge blessing.

Challenging to watch??

personally I find it quite entertaining. Maguire in particular is pretty special. There’s some real talent there.

Perhaps he means, ‘challenging the accepted definition of world class’…

Or challanging the accepted definition of mid table…

They’ve been a mid-table side for years now. Only De Gea’s heroics and the largesse of the officials have kept them even vaguely relevant.

Typical fan approach to football… “iT wOrKs ON FIFA”

Plenty of that here too unfortunately

When we were perennial second blades, especially with Hodgson and Rodgers at the helm, I felt the exact same way about LFC.

Then Klopp came in, and everything changed.

Wife is a United fan. I can attest that is a challenge they have failed.

I remember the adage of building the club around one player only within 2-3 years that player would leave and it would start again.

Now the club has a system that goes throughout the teams and a philosophy and I would hate us ever to go back to building sides around one player. The top four sides at the moment in the league don’t, especially the top two.

With 2 Fabs they could keep him, no?

I would imagine the conversations during the 5-0 be especially great.

Bayern and Lewi have long been reported to be struggling over an extension to a contract that will be in its last year next season. In come Utd with the solution to their problems - a 34 year old they will have to pay 250k a week.

Bayern have one of the best goal scorers in the planet and are playing hardball, ready to move him on him at 34 to make room for Haaland. Compare that to Utd and wonder why one is a shambles and one is annoyingly succesful.
