Two seasons ? That is way too long a time for the united fanbase to not turn toxic. They have a massive clearing up job to do and quite a lot of players to buy who won’t be CL level players. Also there are about 6 teams who are better than them in Liverpool , City , Chelsea , Arsenal , Tottenham & West Ham… and potentially Leicester and Aston Villa as well.
He will win the first three games, Neville and Tyler will spunk themselves silly and then they will lose the next 10.
Most of their fans will write off next season already as they’re aware that the squad is full of shite. Season after that though, they’ll expect to challenge in the cups at least, and finish in the top 4. Season 3 will get VERY toxic, and he’ll be gone after that. Rinse/repeat.
You could have Klopp or Guardiola in Man Utd now and they’d struggle to get United in Top 4 in two sesons.
Klopp did it within 18 months at Anfield, if I’m honest it wouldn’t be difficult if the right man approached it the right way.
There is a top 3 at the moment if I’m honest and that’s only because Chelsea are a fantastic team on their day. Would be 2 otherwise.

Klopp came into a team which was used to playing with a high backline and having a good work rate. Manchester United at the present are a bunch of lazy entitled highly paid footballers who are cobbled together with various managers with no unity in style of play. Sure, They might be better players than the players that Klopp inherited , but the basics were already in place for Klopp to begin implementing his gegenpress.
Ralf tried to get Man Utd to play gegenpress and they were tanked after 30 min.
Point is that Klopp didn’t need to make too many changes to get Liverpool into UCL. Yes, Players were moved on like Sakho/Allen/Benteke and some like Emre Can didn’t want to be a part of Klopp’s project. But there wasn’t the mass clearing out that Man Utd needs.
ETG is a very good manager. He’s no miracle worker like Klopp but no one in world football is at this moment. For him to take the United job , It’s a mistake and something that will end up ruining his career. He can wait for the Real Madrid job to come (It’s not like Ancelotti is going to be there forever). Finish off his contract at Ajax and wait for better offers to come. But Man Utd is a massive job, same like what Liverpool was and there will be a matter of ego of wanting to be the guy to take Utd back to winning ways etc…same like how Klopp felt when he joined Liverpool.

Yet the 2018 final included only 4 players he inherited (not including trent who he gave a debut to). Klopp did a lot with the group he inherited, but he was ruthless as hell as well and undertook a significant and rapid overhaul of the playing staff. You dont get that sort of overhaul right by yourself and Utd have shown no capacity to operate on such a level, or with such a focus on football at the exclusion of everything everything else.
Maybe @Dutch should decide on the next thread title
Something along the lines of: Ten Hag, from one cunt team to another…
Something along the lines of: Ten Hag, from one cunt team to another…
I was expecting something along the lines ‘Dutch Shit Managing ManShit’
Ten Hags of United.
Ten Hags of United
You mean Disunited.
Fair enough, Ten disunited Hags.
Utd won’t be arsed on Saturday, they’re trying not to qualify for the Europa Conference League.
They need Palace to lose their semi final for that to happen I reckon.
Manchester - Where Ten Hags manage 11 crap
Wankchester
Applies for both tbe clubs. United and tbe other one
