The Manchester United Thread: That's It. That's the Joke (Part 1)

But, but they are better than VVD, TAA, Mo & Alisson respectively. :face_vomiting:

Talking of consultancy, I saw the other day that United are still paying Ferguson some astronomical amount as an ambassador.

Something like £230k per month. I’ll have to find the article now.

The source article was apparently the s*n. Here is another outlet quoting the source and the financial numbers.

Wasn’t the source I saw but it’ll do

Are we sure it wasn’t the rest of the PL paying Ferguson’s ‘monthly consultancy fee’? Sounds like 2m well spent to keep the old whiskey nose as their loudest ‘football voice’ in a sea of brand and PR managers so they remain convinced changing the manager is all that is needed to bring success.

I’ve decided to post in this thread in the first half, and the Everton thread in the second.
Embarrassment for United that they’re not ahead after 45’, followed by broken blue hearts that United get a penalty in the 95th minute.

I’ve no animosity towards Everton, come on you blue noses, let’s watch Goldbridge go full scanners:

Nice to see Ronaldo back. He should get a nice warm reception at Goodison.

Weather looks nice over Aintree. Over Goodison there’s a huge black rain cloud.
The real ‘Devil’s club’ are present.

Which goalie is going to win the award for giving away the most spectacular unnecessary corner?
Pickford’s off to a flyer. Should have caught that shot from Rashford. Couldn’t hold onto Rashford’s header, that spill could have gone anywhere

Everton really are awful.

7th against 17th, when was 24 ever the combined total for these two teams?

Normally it’s 14.

They’re both underperforming this season; long may it continue.

The evil side of me prevails when I watch these two teams struggle, I have to admit. I only wish that we could have won against Man City prior to this match, so I could watch it in complete peace. These are the worst Man United and Everton sides I’ve seen in my life and I will have no qualms if that can last even just a bit longer.

He did that against Burnley could have caught it but some reason jumped and tipped it over.

The American coverage is normally great, but my god they are trying so hard to sell the relevance of Utd. Describing the goal as a massive one for the bottom of the table is fair. Trying to sell it as a relevant one for the other end is laughable.

My fears/hopes for Everton relegation failed to fully account for just how shit ManU can be

Sancho isnt very good is he.

I just watched him running a 2-1 on the edge of the box with his full back going on the overlap outside him. Sancho waited for the run and then just fucking punted the ball giving the FB his hardest job of the day just to stop it going out for a goal kick
