*Russia, because they are so tied up in Ukraine, and with the loss there of over 600,000 soldiers, seems incapable of stopping this literal march through Syria, a country they have protected for years. *
*This is where former President Obama refused to honor his commitment of protecting the RED LINE IN THE SAND, and all hell broke out, with Russia stepping in. *
*But now they are, like possibly Assad himself, being forced out, and it may actually be the best thing that can happen to them. There was never much of a benefit in Syria for Russia, other than to make Obama look really stupid. *
In any event, Syria is a mess, but is not our friend, & THE UNITED STATES SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. THIS IS NOT OUR FIGHT. LET IT PLAY OUT. DO NOT GET INVOLVED!
Nothing could be worse than the regime of the Assad’s. Both father and son have been absolute plagues for Syria throughout decades. Let’s see what comes next, but I hope that Assad will finally be removed without too much more suffering for the civil population.

Meanwhile: IDF is reported to be in firefights and repelling what they describe as an armed gang, attacking a UN post in the Hader area of syria. Apparantly, ironically enough, the IDF is assissting the UNi contigent repelling the attack from the Golan.
And everyone wonders who was on this plane that got shot down: A Syrian IL-76T coming from Damascus lost fast altitude near Homs and possibly crashed west of that city. There are rumors that it was Assad‘s plane.
Yes, there are rumours it was the Russians who ganked him indeed, though it would be difficult for them as they were busy evacuating. Assad reached out to the Trump today, claimed he would break all relations with Iran and Hezbollah if the US would save him. But it leaked and it when it leaked, Hezbollah withdrew from Quneitra earlier today but unclear if there was a correlation.
The pictures and videos we shall see from the regimes torture and death camp, Sednaya, is going to be absolutely awful. In Daraa, they have already found the secret police files on residents. It is fucking huge STASI-like columns of drawers marked with family names.
