If Amazon Prime does carry LFC matches (as in all Liverpool matches worldwide) , What would be so wrong about that ? Would save me from having multiple subscriptions to different portals/channels. At the moment in India, I have to have a Disney, Sony, Fancode for the competitions. And if the FA cup is broadcast by a new OTT app, I’ll have to take a subscription there as well.
Anyway the point is moot, unless Amazon decides to seriously bid for EPL digital broadcast rights. At which case, they would be a broadcaster having their owner have a share in Liverpool
It may or may not be a good thing, but given the near monopoly that Amazon now has on internet shopping, I expect that would be their goal with broadcasting football.
Anyway, in the short term I don’t think having Bezos as a shareholder would do us any harm and may be of benefit as it would probably result in new revenue for the club. Although no-one is going to like Anfield being renamed as Amazon Stadium.
I think Bhatia will be well aware of that with his experience in English football. He would know that Liverpool fans are highly protective of the name of their stadium. And any move to add Amazon to that name will be highly criticized.
Where do Redbird figure into this. Have they invested into FSG or have they invested into Liverpool ?
If the alternate to Bezos money is Wealthy Arab Dictators, Musk, Zuckerberg, Some shady russian biz with links to Putin , I’d rather have Bezos’s money. Amazon and the way they do business might not be to everyone’s cup of tea but he’s probably the best of a bad lot.

So, Bezos will not be on the board but his front-man will. As will Bhatia and Elaine Saverin, the wife of the other 1892 Holdings investor Eduardo Saverin.
Maybe we will have an Amazon produced " Liverpool : Behind the scenes" movie documentary?
for sure. That will be a given
They have already dipped their fingers into LFC with the Prime video you quoted.
But I wonder why LFC???

One of the greatest football clubs of all time. Real History. Makes for a good telling.

sneaked in a glance at redcafe. They aren’t taking it too well.

My comment was somewhat sarcastic, but if Liverpool is a bigger brand than Arsenal, that should at least partially offset the Liverpool-London discount.
However, yes, I do wonder if LFC now launches itself at the PL broadcast arrangements - it has been a while, but FSG already expressed dissatisfaction with LFC’s payout relative to audience delivered
The new LFC will probably hold auditions/tryouts for the local Anfield fans, setting performance standards for supporters. Can’t have fans just willy nilly losing interest and expressing discontent when they are receiving season tickets sold for below brand value.

Serious question - all Liverpool games on Amazon (Prime) Is that even possible?
I mean Amazon can purchase the TV rights for the PL, or the CL or FA and EFL Cup in different countries but the club can not sell its own TV rights - or am I wrong?

Not right now, but I can foresee the LFC legal argument. Those broadcast rights are not permanent, particularly because the grant of rights agreement does not actually include streaming.

So it’s hope for a loophole. I really can’t see that happen.
I think more than that. Streaming rights were not assigned, the PL sold them anyway. Plus, the rights for the PL to sell broadcasts have a term, and the cudgel has been exclusion - no agreement, no TV money. Thirty years ago, that was a hammer, even the big clubs had no other options. A LFC owned by Amazon might no longer have need of PL tv money, Prime rights could make up the difference.

It would require a majority of PL clubs to agree to individual TV rights rather than the competition as a whole. There a maybe 5 or 6 teams that would benefit at most, and it would massively distort the finances. I can’t see it gaining support.
I remember seeing some stats from Sky Deutschland a few years ago regarding their streaming. The most streamed teams were Bayern München and Borrusia Dortmund. Third was Liverpool. It shouldn’t be underestimated the global reach the club has.

I doubt it will come to the stage of LFC foregoing PL tv money. But if there’s an argument to be made that Amazon Prime can pay Liverpool separately for broadcasting LFC games games without relying on the feed by Sky. Having their own broadcast teams etc as well, Liverpool could stand to gain additional revenue from that.
I foresee a lot of complications in that action and other clubs would object when Liverpool gets two bites of cherry.
