Isn’t it amazing that the six clubs invited to the Super League are also the only six with owners immoral enough to want to join.
There is a level of hypocrisy to this debate that beggars belief. Moshiri banging on about points deductions and expulsions for fucks sake. *You should have to earn the right to compete in the CL…*unless you have an opportunity to cheat your way in by starting 15points ahead of the teams that are better than you.
There are 92 clubs in the league and every single one of them is actively trying to screw the ones below them.
How dare West Ham and Brighton act indignantly about the super league, when they tried to null and void last season to avoid relegation, and screw Leeds and West Brom out of promotion.
Every time there is any move to distribute more premier league cash to the lower leagues, its blocked by the bottom 14 clubs in the Premier.
There is a gulf between the Premier league and the Championship, which is largely a creation of the bottom half clubs seeking to pull the drawbridge up, and a gulf starting to emerge between the Championship and League One.
I’d be willing to bet that if there was a vote to end relegation to the conference, Barrow, Grimsby and Southend would be all over it like a rash.
Oh and by the way isn’t it interesting that Norwich and Watford are nailed on to bounce straight back into the Premier League, with Bournemouth highly likely to join them via the play offs.
It’s probably just a coincidence though, and nothing to do with Parachute Payments distorting competition to the point where most clubs in the Championship have no chance of promotion.
@Klopptimist@aussielad I think Leicester owners gets away from criticism simply by staying away from limelight. Now essentially they aren’t a bad bunch, in fact, they are better than most of the lot.
But the former Prime Minister of Thailand and his associates and family are accused of corruption to tune of billions of dollars.
Agreed with this. I’m not sure who they are connected to politically but i dont think the LC owners are all that popular in Thailand where they have a near monopoly on airport duty free concessions.
So 2019/20 accounts are a £46m loss, but in context this includes £59m media revenue that will be added onto next year’s accounts due to the end of last season taking place in 2020/21 seasons accounts. So we would have been running at a profit even with the lack of fans at the end of the season.
This isn’t actually a loss as will be in the 2020/21 accounts and actually help us mitigate some of the losses for that year (£84m match day revenue probably all but wiped out for one). Along with the Nike deal that should see a dramatic increase too.
