Without getting into the merit or lack of merit of other potential ownership groups, I have a simple question:
If FSG are to continue on as owners, do you believe enough funds will be made available for the squad, to keep us competitive moving forwards?
By competitive, I mean able to challenge for the Prem and the CL.
Edit:
Having seen your post just above, I will elaborate a bit. There are lots of factors coming together for our recent success. On the financial side, we haven’t spent the most, but we have been able to spend, and we have seen small, medium, and large purchases all being made to build Klopp’s team.
Moving forward, do you think we will be able to do the same as before, in the new market?
For example:
€120M Bellingham (a record, Van Dijk level sort of purchase, transformative)
€60M Kone (now a mid price signing, and we have had lots before, only €60M is the new €30M!)
€0 Evan Ndicka (we’ve done good Bosmans before, e.g. Matip, and someone like Ndicka could be his long term replacement)
So I’m not calling for us to be a cheque book team.
I’m asking if you think that under FSG, moving forward, we will continue to be able to shop at all levels of the market, as necessary, and as we have seen before, in order for Klopp to complete the building of his next great team?
