take a chill pill. Tongue in cheek comment. Fucking hell, knickers in a twist over a forum comment. Can only imagine what your like in person
THE ESL has been a publicly stunt to get UEFA to shit its pants and bring them to table regarding how Champions League is handled all reports suggest this is happening.
They didnât sign up for it this time but he said himself today they had been involved in discussion for years.
Looks like we have pulled out. According to Anfield Wrap. But now we are faced with still fighting to get in CL.
I will never ever trust FSG again. All the good things they have done has gone down the drain again.
They are a disgrace.
Rumours on Twitter that FSG are looking to sell up assuming a suitable human rights abusing gazillionaire can be found.
Twitter does tend to spout bollocks, though.
99.9% sure the Agnelli and Woodward out stories are misunderstandings of them stepping down from their positions in UEFA in response to the ESL announcement and not leaving their clubs.
This is another issue I have with this. Again, @kopstar (who has been on top form through this) said it earlier. Let them fall. It is necessary for the game.
Any sensible club, which includes us, should want them to fall so badly they are gone for years. They are the ones whoâve sent wages into the stratosphere, leaving the rest of football struggling to keep up.
Why FSG would want to assist their recovery is beyond me. We should be grinding them into the dirt.
Hope so with Woodward, the guys utterly useless.
Iâm not in a great mood, because this evening while dropping the kids off at the footy I actually had a conversation with a mate about what we do now we canât support our football clubs anymore. Do we take the kids to Forest? Do we just give up on football altogether.
That sort of brings how close with just come home.
Your comment didnât feel like a joke, but Iâm sorry I obviously misinterpreted it.
I am probably going to remain frustrated for some time with the cognitive dissonance needed to criticise FSG for trying to maximise the clubs income and at the same time criticise them for not spending enough money on new players.
John Henryâs wife doesnât own us. I donât think she has much to do with FSG day to day.
Seems Woodward was a planned exit anyways at the end of season from Utd, which has been brought forward.
Not sure how true it is, one of the owners of the gang of 6 clubs, when all this ESL pahlava dies down, is going to sell the club because they are so dismayed this ESL didnât go through.
I am ruling out Levy, Shaikh Mansoor and Abramovich.
Iâm pretty positive it is us, Glaziers donât need to sell, if they need more money they will just leverage it some more.
Donât know about Spurs at all, Arsenal probably not, they will probably go the same way as Man Utd if they need capital.
Oh really, my money was on Arsenal being sold.
They are recent in their dealings in buying the club, I really donât know how committed to this they are. It could be Man Utd I suppose but I feel we were the two big clubs from England in this.
After all it was also us two that did project big picture, which actually was decent in parts, as opposed to this league.
If John Henry returns to Liverpool
He wonât get a great reception I tell you now. He canât show his face at Anfield. He has to make massive grovelling apology to the fans and now down to Kenny and Jurgen!
Gotta expect Henry or someone to do an interview explaining this. Maybe someone gets sacked. Woodward is leaving United.
Levy doesnt own Spurs. This guy does, from his yacht in the Caymans through ENIC, through the Tavistock group - Joe Lewis (businessman) - Wikipedia He is a fairly uninvolved owner so cannot see this moving him at all.
For us though, we know that the introduction of FFP was a critical development in FSG pulling the trigger on a football club. The CAS ruling and subsequent UEFA ruling to loosen the strings at the top creates a bait and switch situation for them. Maybe now theyâre in theyâre not going to try to get out just because of FFP, but if their strategy goes tits up for how best to manage in a non-FFP climate, then Iâd say itâs not unreasonable to think theyâd be interested in finding a way out now.
