You see, I’m not a fan of seaside (because I associate it with the heat, the crowd, extortionate prices etc.) but I’ve always been in awe of Northern Europe, especially fjords and lakes (Sweden is in between but I don’t know if it has distinctive natural traits that Norway and Finland have - but their metal is the fuel I run on, so they’ll have to live with that ).
Your second post, the photos with the hills and the grass - they look exactly like my home village, I wish I could send you some photos, so you could see what I mean. I envy you so much, by the way, I’d wager a guess that the part of town that isn’t at the seaside is even more beautiful, especially in the autumn and winter.
I am driving home to my mother’s place again. She is in Oslo, so my excuse is to take care of the cat (which is totally unecessary, she is a “big” girl and takes care of herself in nature for the 4-5 days my mother is in Oslo, considering the awesome weather we have now).
On my way there I chose a different route, so I could drive over “Drageskaret”, which roughly translates to either the Dragon’s Scar OR the dragging scar, as historians are not sure if long ships were pulled over it like in other places with the same name, or if its from drake, the mythological beast.
Since the other photos were considered ok, I took a couple new ones now 10 min ago before I drove onboard in the ferry. Its very sunny and even the sea is completely calm.
I didnt think the pictures were maybe good enough but i can redo what i deleted above.
But you know, i am no photographer.
Ah, post seems permanently deleted now, sadly.
Sorry
Edit. Was just pictures i took before midnight where Venus is very vidible but too much light for more stars
I like those houses and I also notice that there are several trees in the background, even large ones, indicating that it’s a very nice neighbourhood indeed.
Well, the nature is beautiful but don’t you worry, we’re doing everything in our power to destroy it, we just need more time!
Unfortunately, I don’t have any nice pictures because it’s been a while since I was home but my father sends me some “everyday” photos from time to time to help my homesickness. I’m forwarding them here just so you can get the impression what it feels like in Montenegrin rural North (with the added bonus of chicken):
The last one was supposed to show the trees in bloom while the snow is falling in the background (taken two days ago). The climate has been a mess for the past decade or so…
