A7s 2

It’s a specialist low light 4k video model for my other job. Comes in very handy doing Christmas productions in dark churches though

Also have an A7s and and a6000. A6000 is almost indestructible.

Sony really upset the norm in the camera world. A bit Chelsea to bring a footie analogy to it.

New one from me. I took this last January just up the road from me. Again my preferred long lens imaging.

that looks like an alpine lake if I’ve ever seen one.

At least I know you’re in Wales now. hard to keep track of everyone. great thread

when I met my wife, she loved taking photos and had a D60. we lugged that thing around everywhere, with the OEM lens on it and I think a 15-120mm as well, small zoom lens. then she started getting artifacts in the photos and had a hard time finding a place to get it serviced (disposable society and all that) so it sat forever. She lamented a few times she missed using it.

two years ago, I came across a listing for a used D7000 in the city from a fellow who looked like he took good care of it. Picked it up with another two lenses for a paltry $400, it only had 2500 snaps on the counter. I think she’s pulled it out only a few times but it takes great pics. Looking forward to using the video function on it more this summer.

here’s one of her old D60 compilations

It’s the Geneva lake, but at the opposite end of it. The alps are very near as one can see here.

Near Montreux?

Great shot, anyway.

that’s the side of Switzerland (french) I haven’t seen yet. Wife’s been for work, my cousin lived in Zurich now Frauenfeld so we’ve only seen the German side.

Good bet. It’s around 5km from Montreux.

Can’t quite figure out where the lake would appear so narrow! The slopes to the left must be on the south shore?

No it’s the contrary. The pic looks more or less towards the south-east. The mountains on the right are on the southern part of the lake, and those on the left are on the Swiss side, just behind Montreux and beyond. The enlightened part in the centre, beyond the lake, is the valley containing the river Rhône, with huge mountains on either side.

Some nice images there. Not a million miles from my preferred style of finding intimate objects in the landscape. 100-400mm lens is my favourite on a full frame camera.

D7000 is a solid cropped sensor camera

price was right. since the little gaffer arrived she hasn’t been using the DSLR nearly as much, simply because the new camera phones take such good pictures. But they don’t frame the same, nor do they do nearly as good at depth of field.

I’d play with it myself, but i cannot carry a big camera like that with my fly fishing gear in the rivers or in the boat.

This was from Sunday on my OnePlus phone

I’m not a photographer and this is just using my camera phone. I just point and shoot so apologies, but I couldn’t resist taking this shot of the view on the school run this morning. It was absolutely stunning so I’m sure I haven’t managed to do it justice.

Where is that?

Where is this place?

What is this place? The blueish part, is it a lake or marsh, or just another valley?

All in all, it got such a vibe from some fantasy movie.

It’s a view from Leckhampton Hill which looks out over Gloucester (straight ahead and to the left) and Cheltenham (to the right).

There was a view further on with the spires of the Cathedral rising up through the mist, which was really nice, but there was no convenient place to stop.
