The season where he is President and involved in an illegal deal with Russian terrorists has a plot line around his wife, Martha, suspecting him and being publicly branded as crazy by he and his team. I didnt realize until much later that subplot is straight out of Watergate and based on the treatment of Martha Mitchell (hence giving her the name Martha), the wife of Nixonâs crooked AG.

He is so ingrained in my head as a mob character that I refuse to believe he wasnt in the Sopranos. I know he wasnt, but my head wont let me accept it.
