Oh for sure. He’s a fascinating guy. His comments about trading competition for money rings a bit hollow given the last 6-7 years of his career.
don’t remember him complaining about playing time, or angling himself with his agent to force a move.
Look at his salaries over the years…nothing rediculous for wages. He was making 28K a week at LA Galaxy his first year there. peanuts to what he was making before/after.
There’s a lot more insidious footballers out there…
A guy who left a competitive side in a competitive league with a good UEFA coefficient to take Qatari money to play in a second rate league whose teams had about as much presence in the CL KO stages as teams from Scotland has no place complaining about trading sporting values for money
But he pulled his hamstring fighting the gauls
I look at it from a different angle. Who has he been able to play with over the years, for teammates? I’ll just lift off whom I consider very notable

You missed out Luke Shaw and Jesse Lingard, neither of which would look out of place in 60% of that list
there’s 58 names on that list, so what 35 names would you consider NOT notable to have played with as teammates.
go ahead, I’ll wait.
How old were they alll when he played with them? I’d bet all near the end of the careers.
25 or so were top notch players in their prime.
CBA naming them, as opinions will vary and we’ll end up back and forth

I don’t think so… Zlatan’s 42yrs old.
Messi is 36
Chiellini is 39
Iniesta is 39
Xavi is 43

Henry is 46
Buffon is 45
Puyol is 45

Nesta is 47
Crespo is 48
Figo is 50
Cannavaro is 50.
Missing the point, lads. None of these players are notable to Herr Zlatan of Gobshite/Rosengård.
What I find odd about this is I am sure they have offered me the job on football manager at least once.
A guy absolutey wrecked - Hazard retires at only 32
32? I thought he was older than that. Crikey!
Hazardous existence
My first memory of Hazard was him being an unplayable wonderkid on FM09, who would almost always go on to sign for Man City, destroy my Liverpool team in every match and be one of the best players in the game every season. Which he frankly did in real life, only while playing for Chelsea. I also remember feeling relief that Man United couldn’t sign him at the time, as well as feeling relief when Real Madrid signed him. One of those players who always seemed to raise his game against us, like Henry and Drogba.
A very good dribbler who was outrageously overrated.
Almost more impressive that this means Schmidt was 33 when he took the job!
