On that topic, I’ve read recently that Simeone is likely to extend his contract at Atletico.

Here’s some manager I’m sure would be very fun at party.

he’s not wrong tho. some of the shit I see these days after a goal are just rediculous.
can you imagine if a surgeon game out of an operating theatre and celebrated a successful surgery like that? fucking scenes.
And next he’ll complain about Jurgen punches celebration?

August 1993. Nigel Clough scores twice on his Liverpool debut against Sheffield Wednesday. He celebrated both times, quite enthusiastically. Yes, I just watched it to check!
Nigel, ya grumpy old bugger!

Just an old man being grumpy for no reason. Didn’t see a single celebration this weekend that went over the top.
If you don’t want someone to celebrate against you then don’t let them score.

Poor old Nigel…good player, but lived in the shadow of his big mouthed father.
Any attempts at relevance are futile Nigel.
I’m not sure what generated this, celebrations have been pretty samey for a while now.
Clough is obviously not used to playing when VAR is in attendance… For they are certainly starting to curtail any, and all goal scoring celebrations…!
30 years ago today. This absolutely broke my heart but its funny in retrospect to see how weak a penalty shout it actually was (trivial contact, no way he was getting to the ball) and how completely certain the two in the tank commentators were that it was legit

Lower league manager he’s never going reach the dizzy heights of Championship let alone the Premier League.
He has been there to be fair but has slipped down over time. I doubt there is anything to celebrate in Mansfield.
