The Referees or The Twelfth Man

It is now being reported that David Coote’s hatred for Klopp was out of a sexual frustration and desire for Klopp that was never returned.

What a load of horse-shit.

Contrary to most people here apparently, it’s pretty clear Coote definitely has mental health issues based on the videos and his drug uses.
And I believe it’s fair from him to come out, at a time when he is forced to reevaluate his life choices.

The only part really grating is the outlet he chose to get paid from. That’s thick and crass.

The only important part to this story is the “The FA is investigating” for the allegation of the yellow card fixing. I am going to watch to see if that’s swept under the carpet.

In case his story turns out to be true.

But as I said later , I really couldn’t be bothered at this point of time.

Also having a mental illness in no way excepts people from being a corrupt shit asshole.

I understand where you are coming from with the “Mental Health” issues, it is like a whiplash claim from a car crash, hard to prove.
I have had my own experience of depression and it is not a nice place to be, so I will hold judgement on that.

Im completely with you on your last paragraph as they were my thoughts also. We will use your down fall for our benefit and also for your attempt at justification.

Personally, I hope people let him be. It is obviously his first step at trying to rebuild his career, time will tell if he has actually learned anything from it.

And that starts from giving him very less airtime. Out of sight and out of mind. I just don’t want him to be gaining any revenue from this.

If he wants to rebuild his career , let him make amends by going back and refereeing in the national leagues. He can still make a decent enough career for himself.

Lots of speculation that the deal with the sun was to head off them publishing even worse stuff about him

I have every sympathy with those with mental health problems.
I have every sympathy those experienceing a difficult time surrounding sexuality.

I have no time for people using these issues as an excuse for poor behaviour.
And using a fucking scum paper to vocalise their bullshit.

Coote + The Sun =

The problem for Coote is I don’t see how he can ever be allowed near any matches involving Liverpool in any capacity. You could also argue Everton matches and any other teams from this area in the lower leagues. Or matches that have any bearing on LFC’s position.
The whole ‘we hate scousers’ nonsense in the leaked video - while coming across as puerile and childish - pretty much sees to that imo.
The fact that many of us already viewed Coote as being corrupt compounds it all.

Darren England the ‘referee’ for Bournemouth. Another one who has done time away from our games when his corruption and cheating has been too apparent.

No sympathy for Coote. I still maintain his finances should be investigated.

If you have mental health issues, surely the last thing you need is being back in the limelight by going to the media and getting paid while doing so.

Wouldn’t going about his business quietly and seeking professional help be the best way to help any recovery?

Just setting aside any personal antipathy towards Coote, this episode show what a fucking pack of absolute scumbags the Sun are.

David, it’s the Sun. Yeah, no hard feelings mate, it ain’t personal. Listen, money must be tight now you ain’t got a gig. Do you fancy telling your side of the story. Must be hard for you. Imagine you’ve got them mental health things, what they have now. There’s a nice pay day in it for you. That’ll help you get back on your feet, won’t it?..…Top man. Of course we’ll be sensitive. It’s your side of the story. We’re just here to help you get your word across……You know it makes sense. We’ll send a reporter over.

Todays headline.

Maybe you are right, I don’t know but I will give you an alternative.

He gets some kind of closure, by coming out it actually give himself acceptance of who he is without rumours or the bile of social media.

Maybe the “professional help” have suggested this as a good way of progressing with his MH issues.

He is 43, so maybe a little too late to retrain in another profession.

Look, I don’t like him, he was a shit referee and made bad decisions, which continued with the choice/Rag he used to publish his reasons for justification. As long as he is not refereeing football games then his existence (touchwood) has no bearing on my life.

He will never referee professionally again in my opinion.
