Liverpool Football Club acknowledges PGMOLâs admission of their failures last night.
It is clear that the correct application of the laws of the game did not occur, resulting in sporting integrity being undermined.
We fully accept the pressures that match officials work under but these pressures are supposed to be alleviated, not exacerbated, by the existence and implementation of VAR.
It is therefore unsatisfactory that sufficient time was not afforded to allow the correct decision to be made and that there was no subsequent intervention.
That such failings have already been categorised as âsignificant human errorâ is also unacceptable. Any and all outcomes should be established only by the review and with full transparency.
This is vital for the reliability of future decision-making as it applies to all clubs with learnings being used to make improvements to processes in order to ensure this kind of situation cannot occur again.
In the meantime, we will explore the range of options available, given the clear need for escalation and resolution.
Bamm, take that assholesâŚ
Clear need for escalation, putos!!!
Also Jones wasnât sliding in, wasnât off his feet and wasnât using excessive force and wasnât high in his challenge, so therfore it for me should be classed in the reckless category which should equal a yellow card.
The only part that could be construed in the red card category, is that the contact on the player could be said that it Endangered the safety of the player.
When the ref went to the screen it focussed mainly on the contact part with that long still photo, it didnât take into account that Jones was in control, i.e on his feet, not high and the studs contact was caused by his foot rolling over the ball with no obvious intent to endanger the player.
It seemed that the whole process of the review just focussed in the contact not the how or why the contact happened and seemed premeditated by who was in VAR to have a desired outcome.
I thought Steve Nicol had it right by arguing with co commentators, who thought it was red on the sole purpose that it endangered the safety of the player, by using the challenge that injured Gakpo. He firstly said he didnât think it was a foul on the player as he clearly won the ball, but also then said, taking into account that the ref thought it this challenge was a foul, he said it therefore endagered the safety of Gakpo as he injured him with the challenge and why that wasnât a red.
He was just pointing out how absurd it is to decide something is deserving of a red card based solely on that it endangered the safety of the player and it should take into account the how and why.
Absolutely correct.
So, what options do LFC have then?
I canât see any ?
What we need to remain aware of in this shit show AKA⌠PGMOL⌠is that we might be giving Alpha Webb more credit than what he is dueâŚ!
Yes he was sourced and offered the job he presently holds⌠but two things spring to mind. Firstly, for all we know, he is a âthick cuntâ that does not have a clue how to get the best from the resources he has at hand, and is no more than a disaster, that continues to take us further down the rabbit hole. Secondly, how do we know he has not taken the job as a mere stepping stone, toward greater riches in the near future⌠in some far off land of oil and gold.!
Our game, our forefathers game, the present day fans game, is being slowly destroyed by gobshites, who do not seem to have the acumen, or life experience of preserving what we love dearly, for the many future generations, and the heart stopping moments this team of ours have delivered in spades.
Will there be a new episode of Refs Micâd up tomorrow?
If not I hope Webb the piece of shit will appear on MNF.
A quick boys jolley to Arab land⌠No probs, OR is it

A motion of no faith in the match officials and have the season suspended until the P/L can get enough competent refs to allow the season to resume
I want our goal back or at least a point.
Fify
Having just read the judgement from 2020 which states refs arenât full employees of PGMOL but are self employed thats the get out clause for them jollying around the world.
Would be interesting to see a table regarding how many appologies have been issued for each ref and var official
Or duck IR35?
Wasnât the whole point of PGMOL having full time professional referees rather than part timers with jobs on the side?
Thats why HMRC took them to court saying how can they be full-time but still be self-employed HMRC lost the argument.
Apologies if this has already been posted in another thread⌠This Cnut Darren EnglandâŚ
England was also in charge of VAR during Liverpoolâs 3-2 defeat to Arsenal last season where Gabriel Martinelliâs opener was subject to offside shouts but was eventually given. Liverpool fans were left confused when the usual VAR lines didnât appear for the potential goal as Bukayo Saka looked to be offside during the build up.
It turned out that VAR was unable to clearly say whether the England winger was offside as he wasnât visible in any of the five cameras technology provider Hawkeye have positioned around the pitch. The officialâs two blunders that have ended up costing Liverpool has infuriated fans whoâve called for the Englishmanâs job as one fan wrote: "If every club that had been on the wrong end of a Darren England balls up refused to accept him as a ref heâd be unemployed by Christmas.
Question to anyone who knows the rules better, why was Wissa not awarded a penalty today? Quite clearly taken out by the goalkeeper, no?
