Is there a reason why you wouldn’t use an adblocker extension in your browser or an application like YouTube Vanced on your phone (if it’s an Android, I’m not sure iOS has its equivalent)?
bah.
Work just upgraded the pc, forgot to install adblocker
Following up, Just checked and already got ad blocker running, but am talking about the ads you get in the start and middle of youtube vids.
You used to get a skip button that is no longer showing up so means having to watch the full ads
Have you tried using Enhancer for YouTube add-on? I can’t remember the last time I saw an on YouTube with it, haha!
‘Scarily’ spicy pizza etc in the supermarkets and all the other basic foodstuffs they re-name to try and cash in on Halloween. Fuck off. There’s no pumpkins, no sweets or anything else at my house so don’t bother knocking you little cunts.
And Jimmy Bullard. Still trying to remain relevant on Soccer Saturday (only on for the draw) with his pony-tail and shit clobber aimed at 17 year old dickheads.
You’re a has-been mate. Nobody’s interested in your ‘bantz’ you fucking bad gimp.
I hope it’s raining and very hard at that.
Not even that. He’s a “never was”.
In WW2 documentaries when they call the RAF the British RAF. FFS there’s only one RAF. Which included pilots from many allied nations.
When you buy new tools and you need an angle grinder to get into the packaging.
Perhaps they could start selling specific tools to open tools wrapped in plastic packaging.
Wait a minute - If you wrapped the package opening tool in packaging that needed a package opening tool…
I have stumbled upon the perfect business!

Listening to Sky F1, the commentary from David Croft : “X broke later than Y to take the corner”…Huh?
Did he mean “X braked later than Y to take the corner”
In a well-known Liverpool pub (60’s ladies’ hair-do) yesterday evening and the barmaid (who appeared to have been sampling the wares) couldn’t even be arsed to tell me what Gin they had when asked. Just told me to “go and have a look for yourself down there” with a cursory waft of the arm. Then overcharged me by 4 quid.
Another boozer that wont be getting my custom anymore, the fucking idiot.
Same with kids toys. Zip ties, screws and shrink wrapped plastic everywhere.
Takes away from the moment to have to take it off to the garage tool box just after the kids have opened things in order to get the bastard open
Hot air hand dryers that are too high on the wall. I’m only short and have to raise my hands up to the dryer which cause the wetness to be blown past my wrists and up my sleeves.
The Beehive is bang average.
Get to Ye Hole in the Wall for a decent selection of gins. The Denbigh Castle is next door too. Two cracking boozers.
You’re right it is pretty shit. Going to stick to the Carnarvon Castle from now on, some good ales and reasonably priced. Some of the boozers in town are trying to cash in on the Stag/ Hen party’s and are just ripping everyone off.
Gin
Anyway, it really grinds my gears when you sign up to a forum because you want to get some advice from people who have experience and knowledge about something and what you get back is just completely unhelpful.
One time I went on a sailing forum and was asking about a hypothetical situation for someone with no sailing experience, and all anyone would say was for the person in question to learn how to sail. Yeah, no shit, but then that completely negates the scenario I was asking about.
I just joined a bass guitar forum, because I was thinking of doing a repaint and changing some of the hardware on it, so I explained what I was planning in the hope of some insights into general pitfalls I might face and advice on a couple of specific issues, and all I’ve got back so far is that I shouldn’t bother because it won’t add value to the bass and I should just buy a new one.
If that’s what I wanted to do, I’d have asked for recommendations about budget guitars. The whole point of a reno was to try something new, learn some new skills and have a bit of fun and be able to say look I turned this wreck into something nice. At no point did making my guitar more valuable enter my head.
I can relate, in a sense. I follow a well known (relatively) live safari channel and also joined up to wildlife forum to discuss, in particular, lions in the Greater Kruger. The guides on the channel know absolutely everything under the sun from the most obscure migratory bird species to the proliferation of termites and how they do it but almost to a man nowadays (I must stress just on that live show) have almost no bush sense whatsoever. The guys on the wildlife forums are all pretty decent guys but with the same problem with not all that many actually having set foot in a reserve or park where the lives of these creatures play out naturally and so do not have any context to the knowledge that they have.
Combined, there is an absolute hoard of knowledge with almost no context to how its applied and interpreted and it does my head in. Show a photo of a male lion to these guys and they can tell you exactly what his ‘name’ is, what coalition he belongs to, what pride he originated from, which males fathered him and all sorts of stuff that boggles the mind but aside from putting a pin on a map will know almost nothing about the actual movements and behavioral patterns of these animals. For example, I was in the Kruger five months ago and saw a particular coalition of males and when I got back shared my viewings and what dynamic played out only for some guy to tell me what I saw was wrong and that this is actually what I saw and that’s what’s going to happen to those lions etc. Wtf?
People, eh? Knowledge is ready supply, common sense less so.
Starting 2022 with another complaint!
Whoever is responsible for the Queen’s honours lists needs to make it a bit more of an exclusive list.
Sure, it picks up most of the actual deserving people, but they always ruin it with a couple of inclusions which leave a sour taste in the mouth.
This year, for me it’s Emma Raducanu and Tony Blair.
No offence to, Emma. I’m sure she’s lovely person, and winning the US Open at any age is no mean feat. But is a single sporting achievement enough to warrant an MBE?
And don’t get me started on war criminal Tony Blair
Where’s Andy Robertson’s honours? Champions League winner and relentless charity work around foodbanks and underprivileged children.
Agree completely on Blair. Whenever I see his grid on tv I want to put my foot through the fucking screen.
Spouting about Brexit and being totally oblivious to the fact it was his fucking policies that set it in motion. Cunt.
