The Rugby Union Thread

I honestly doubt his WRU contract was $200k to be honest.

I think the main thing will be what he’s been told behind closed doors and how up front they were with him.

Just seen that Zammit has actually been released from hus original contract. I did not know that was the process. He’s now hoping for 1 of 17 spots on the practice squad. It also seems other teams have passed on the opportunity to sign him.

EDIT

I’m now seeing rumours the Jaguars may be coming in for him

Was going say I see the Jaguars may have moved for him.

Wouldn’t surprise me to be honest.

So Argentina have beaten the All Blacks this championship and have now put 67 points on Australia.

Both off days for both the All Blacks and possibly the Wallabies but Argentina are certainly gaining attention at least.

Joining what was formerly the Tri Nations has really helped the Pumas. They have come on in leaps and bounds over the last decade or so.

The Aussies are in a really bad place as well ATM. Their performance in the world cup felt shocking because Aussies dont collapse like that, but it was on the cards. I dont know quite qwhat is going on but it seems like it is a something systemically rotten with the Rugby Australia rather than just an inexplicable temporary lack of talent

First rule for tourists; just because a beach looks calm/fine doesn’t mean it won’t kill you, this ain’t the fucking Med…

Poor first half from the saints but they are missing a fair few through injury. Hopefully better to come

Watching Cardiff vs Zebra at the moment.
Joined late but i dont think Ive missed much.

Opted not to watch Liverpool, not a bad start for the Saints

I’m deeply frustrated that this Autumn test series is inaccessible unless you have some super subscription.

Actually all sport is going this way and to me it’s becoming something thats not viable and basically unreachable.

Managed to stream the Ireland game.
Very disjointed performance from both teams.

England at their best again i see

Whats going on?

Completely unrecognisable from the last 2 years. 2 tries up already

Edit tmo strikes off the second. Head impact.

Poo

I think the worst part is it’s becoming so fragmented.

Like you only needed 1-2 a few years ago now you need about 7-8 to watch effectively the same amount.

It’s something the government could look into especially international teams and sport.

Yeah and football is the obvious extreme of that but rugby is quickly following.

Thankfully I’ve found a way of watching but I’d much rather have large screen hassle free access.

10 losses in a row :flushed: :see_no_evil:

Rough going. Started so well too, and then the usual inaccuracies crept in and to Fiji’s credit they lapped it up.

Only thing i can think of now is for Gatland to take the game plan back to something really simple that reduces the risks.
