Has anyone watched an HBO/BBC2 show called Industry, about a British investment banking firm? I had never heard of it or even seen its title card displayed on the service until recently when its third season started getting a lot of buzz. I’m 3 episodes in think it’s really promising

I’ve just been watching an episode of Only Connect in which Victoria Coren-Mitchell tried to pronounce “Kraftwerk” in German but instead it came out in Scouse.
For some reason, this really amused me.

The final episode to go now of Tokyo Vice S2.
It’s been a blast, a real fascinating high crime drama and insight into the Japanese underworld.
All the characters are so captivating and the actors all do a brilliant job bringing them to life.
Hopefully some other network can pick it up and keep it going.

Yeah same, just started watching and a few episodes in, also really enjoying.
It was a bit shocking they killed off what was shaping up to be a major character in the first episode, a character I also really liked, but from what I’ve read that incident is basically what triggers the events of the rest of the show, it was well done and unexpected.

Just finished Bad Monkey. I hope it has another season. Not sure whether Carl Hiaasen gave the characters more than one novel - does anyone know if the main character features in multiple novels?
Yeah, there is a second Yancy novel they intend to do. It was sold to Apple as a 3 season arc so seems certain they get the second season but now Lawrence is in a panic trying to figure out how to get material for a third season if there are only two books

I love it. But every season I get surprised at it ending after its 6th episode. It always feels it is still in way too deep to get out with only 1 episode left, but somehow it manages it without feeling rushed. But the greedy part of me always thinks it could (should?) have been 8 episodes.

I get that, with a bit of minor padding you could extend to 8 episodes.
Maybe the pace is just correct though?
When the final episode finishes, you just want more.

Season 5 looks as though it’s already to go. Summer of 2025 is the expected timeline for airing on TV

Yeah, they did the same thing last series. I don’t know any other show of this stature that finishes filming of the following season before the current season has even run.
