Got the ending semi-spoiled because Google is fucking stupid. Still enjoyed the show. Maybe “enjoy” isn’t the right word.
The Penguin is a fantastic bit of television. Everything about it is so good.
Is it a wildlife documentary? If not I’m not interested.
Mankind, the wildest life!
I ignored it but heard good things so started last night. 1 episode in I am not hooked yet, but there is a lot of good people so seems promising.
Netflix S2 of the Diplomat came out a couple of weeks ago. This season is more chaotic than the first and so starts losing itself a bit, but Rory Kinnear is superb and the guest turn from Alisson Janney as the under fire VP is fantastic.
Got round to the first batch of s2 eps for Arcane; still as incredible as the first season. Roll on the next 3 eps
at least someone has good taste around here…
Arcane was good but watched it right after Blue Eye Samurai which might be my favourite animated show ever at this point.
Also really loved Scavengers Reign but it might not be for everyone.
In this area I heard really good things about the Netflix Terminator animated series. Its not really my bag so havent given it a go, but have considered it.
I watch arcane towards the end of the night. It’s the show me and wifey put on after we finished watching whatever we were ready to watch but before we are ready to go to bed, which means we’ve probably been drinking wine, otherwise we just go to sleep. I’m 50-50 (probably more 75-25) that I will fall asleep before an episode ends. I’m trying and failing to watch it. Parts I’ve seen I enjoy, but need to go back and watch a few episodes when I’m not toward the end of a night enjoying wine lol.
so you get pissed and fall asleep on the couch…then do a review of the show… …
just letting you know I’m trying
I wanted to try, but he put it in the film thread, twice, and so on principle I just cannot now.
the show is so good it transcends generic labling…
Finished Penguin. It was alright. Farrell is great, but it became kind of frustrating that his character was just in an near endless cycle of back stab → get caught → switch sides and/or escape → back stab → and on we go. I also have kind of an aversion to Milioti who always seems to be over acting.
Anyway, Silo S2 is back tonight!
This is pretty much why I eventually gave up watching Gotham lol
