Yo lftikhar… maybe they just spreading the jam thinly is all across more episodes for TV revenue…
There is also a Bordertown film available called Mural Murders… 107mins long
If Bordertown was ok… you might like
Deadwind
or
Young Wallander
I have seen Young Wallander. Deadwind is in the queue with Valhala Murders.
Another great cliffhanger for the season finale of Cobra Kai. The producers know how to get the fans hyped with all the nostalgia.
Pretty sure they will bring back the character ‘Mike Barnes’ from the third movie.
Would totally freak out if they manage to bring Hilary Swank in.
Possibly a week early, as the finale hasn’t aired yet, but Station 11 is the best TV show I’ve watched in a long while. Really enjoying it.
I thought it may be to soon to have post apocalyptic flu show, but it’s fantastic. Highly recommend.
Merseyside’s Own Iron Lady - Anne
Mini Series/Documentary
Just finished the last season of Cobra Kai, at the moment I think this is the one I enjoyed the most. Above all the music was better than in the other seasons I think.
Awesome. I’d heard really good things about it but not necessarily from people who’s taste I trust.
I have a lot of REALLY good things about Yellowstone, but am a bit overwhelmed by the prospect of starting with so many season already on the books to get through. Rather than getting excited about having great telly to watch it feels like a chore, so I’ve been scrambling for something else, shorter, to watch instead. A couple of weeks ago I watched Your Honor (Brian Cranston is Breaking Bad, again, as a Judge who breaks the law to protect his family) and it was really meh. Last night I just finished Landscapers and while I’d watch Olivia Coleman do anything I really have no idea what to make of it. So ,'ll probably start Station 11 now on Sunday instead of Yellowstone.
It’s incredibly well done. I’ve read online that it’s the closest thing to the leftovers since it came out, as it’s not really a show about the apocalypse but about the people who survive and their relationships. I watched season one of the leftovers and it was a SLOG. Just hard for me to get through the whole thing.
Station 11 has much lighter touch, has humor mixed in, and is more about how people come together than showing how someone is torn apart by grief, if that makes sense.
At the end of the day, it’s just incredibly well made TV.
Side note: I enjoyed season one of Yellowstone, it’s very entertaining, but Station 11 is a cut above for me.
Just finished watching… very powerful.
Anyone watch Time?
BBC three parter with Sean Bean and Stephen Graham.
Really good, if a tad predictable.
Worth watching for Stephen Graham, but Sean Bean is quite good as well.
Watched Cowboy Bebop and The Good Place
Saw someone suggesting a series but confused about the name, Virgin River or Mystic River???
The Tourist is good fun.
Started watching Superstore on Netflix last night, making it through to season two episode 3 in one sitting. Was expecting it to be terrible, but enjoyed it as an easy watch. Was confused by the sequencing of episodes though - not sure why the first episode of season two was chosen as such.
I’ve just finished watching The Expanse. I only wish all sci-fi TV was done this way. It’s a shame that the show probably won’t ever finish “properly” but six seasons is a lot by modern standards, especially when done with this level of depth.
I’ve just finished watching The Expanse
I think I saw the first 2 or 3 seasons when it was on Netflix. Really enjoyed it. Haven’t got round to watching it on Prime yet.

First three seasons were great, I’d say that the fourth season is the best one. Fifth one was great, too, but it felt a bit out of place for me (a different setting of the story - I’ll stop there). The sixth one was terrific, albeit a bit short. People just don’t appreciate quality sci-fi these days, unfortunately.
Got around the watching the new series of Dexter last week, and what a waste of everyone’s time that was. The guy who did this was the guy who was responsible for the original 4 seasons, culminating in the Trinity Killer story line. Over the 10 years since he’d rejected numerous overtures to revisit the show because he claimed to have no story in mind that made sense for the character. But this was what he though was worthwhile enough to come back with?
JUSTIFIED is in the throes of making a mini-series…
Storyline from one of the books of the same writer, Elmore Leonard
Same main character Raylan Givens
Looking forward to it being aired
Started Archive 81 on Netflix. Strange hybrid of a mystery, sci fi and horror. James Wan’s involvement caught my attention. Enjoying it so far.
