Grogu!!
I loved the Dukes of Hazard growing up in the 70s. Such a great show.
SInce youāre all talking about Morfydd Clark, I suggest you watch Saint Maud.
Season 2 of Barbarians has been released.
Interesting.
I left it late but started Midnight Club last night. So far itās very in keeping with Flanaganās other work so excited to have a couple more episodes tonight and hopefully finish it over the weekend before halloween
Watched itā¦ 7/10 :0)
I downloaded a few things when I was over in Liverpool last week. Currently watching Our Friends In The North. I half saw a couple of episodes in the mid-90s when it was originally on but, bloody Hell, this is brilliant stuff. Christopher Eccleston is magnificent and it has Daniel Craig and Mark Strong in pre-megastardon days.
Currently on iPlayer and Iād really recommend it.
Andor actually keeps getting better, by far the best of these huge āfranchiseā shows imo
I wasnāt too impressed with S1 either.
Iāve only seen the first episode and wasnāt all that excited by it. I think thatās because when I think Star Wars, I expect pew pewing which obviously isnāt what this show is focused on (or at least not yet!). Iāll watch the rest of the series and will probably start to like it more as the story starts to unwrap a bit more.
Definitely very different than the usual Star Wars, theyāre obviously going for a more āadultā, dark even ārealisticā (whatever that means in this context) style. So if you expect classic Star Wars youāre bound to be disappointed. I think it succeeds in what itās trying to be though.
Watching it now. Halfway through 3rd episode.
It is about the same interest valueā¦
Im really enjoying this so far. Flanaganās stuff has tended to start strong and peter out and with a few episodes left you can see signs of that maybe happening again, but so far itās really enjoyable and well acted from a young unknown cast.
Finally went back and finished Loki. Really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the second season. I would love them to do a separate series or one off with Richard E Grantās character, that could be fun.
Iāve still got most of the Disney Marvel shows to watch (and a couple of episodes on the former netflix shows to mop up) with about 3 of the movies left. Next Iām going to start watching the rest of Moon Knight as I only got two episodes in before.
On the Star Wars side, Iāve finally finished Boba Fett, which I thought was OK although the second half of the season (which I enjoyed the most) felt more like it was Mandalorian season 1.5. Will probably watch the rest of Andor after Moon Knight as there isnāt much choice on the SW side and it seems to be getting a lot of positive reviews.
That pacing is part of the reason I donāt rush into watching his shows, although I admit the two series I have seen I have enjoyed the build up in the first half of each of them.
Incredible.
Absolutely incredible. Shame about the crappy music, though.
