Yet another load of drivel eh!
Yep mention Liverpool being interested and the price goes up as we have credible buying success, mention Man U and the price goes down for the opposite reason unless Man U are actually interested then the price trebles
Joyce isnāt really saying anything there bar we wonāt probably sign in midfield which I feel seems obvious.
What do you call signings of Nunez, Diaz, Gakpo, Mac, Dom thenā¦?
I appreciate that thereās still one Liverpool journalist who isnāt taking the easy path and publishing rage bait for clicks.
For sure - slow transfer news is bad for business, so the temptation to exaggerate must be there.
See below bbc rumours. Tells you all you need to know about current (known) transfer activity.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has made it compulsory for his players to have breakfast together at the clubās training ground. (Times - subscription required)
Maybe thatās why they were giving him the eyes.
Understandably, for those who usually have breakfast with their family, this is probably not so great. But Slot is here alone, Iāve heard that his family is not with him (yet?), so itās not a problem for him.
Gomez didnt travel with the squad this morning. Looking at his options away from the club
Reckon he could be off to Newcastle if Palace keep telling them to fuck off.
Finally.
Bayern, Chelsea, Newcastle, Villa, Fulham and Palace mentioned in the article.
If Joe leaves we have weakened the squad. Thereās no denying that. In addition to the young players that we needed last season.
Hughes would need to get his arse into gear
You have to hope there is a plan. Keeper seems to be taking time. Joe goes then we need 1 maybe 2 cb.
Gomez and 50m for Gordon?
Id rather keep gomez and sell Konate
Think this morning shows just how big the squad actually is. No room on the bench for any of Bajetic, Gomez or VDB, all lads who we all think can contribute this season and thatās without us signing anyone. Like if Gomez is to go and we bring in another CB like everyone would want and expect (myself VERY much included) who will miss out in the match day squad and why would a new signing come in just to stay at home on match days?
Tough one.
seems fair
No qualms with selling Gomez. While he adds some versatility, heās not that great. If we somehow get the mooted Ā£45m thatās great business.
Heās fourth choice at best as a centre back. We should sell him and look to strengthen.
One option could be to sign a centre back who also plays left back. The left back position is certainly one weak spot which needs improving. Could look for a player akin to Gvardiol who covers both spots.
Konate is a significantly better CB than Gomez.
