This is the long term Alisson replacement? It strikes me as a smart strategy as it allows the player to develop at a top level without his transfer fee developing at the same pace. I’m not sure what Kelleher will make of it.

Shame Mamardashvili isnt going Bournemouth - would like him to be Premier League ready when he starts first game for us - unless he goes there next year of course.

I’m not sure that Gomez will leave if VDB is gone.

We would need a CB now. I

Last year we signed Endo (the grandmother of „out of nowhere“) on August 18th and Gravenberch on deadline day.

A lot can happen in the next 10 days.

Leverkusen contact Liverpool over Van den Berg deal - Sky in Germany

Bayern Leverkusen have contacted Liverpool about signing Sepp van den Berg, according to Sky in Germany.

They are one of a number of Bundesliga sides to have asked about signing the centre-back.

Sky Sports News reported in May that the 22-year-old is among Brentford’s centre-back targets, as well as other Premier League clubs.

But Sky in Germany are now reporting the Bundesliga champions Leverkusen have concrete interest in signing the Dutchman before the deadline.

Liverpool value Van den Berg in the region of £25m.

There is no way Leverkusen would match Brentfords offer.
