Wait ya, isn’t there just as many games as last season with just another max 2-4 extra matches in the CL? How many really injury prone players we have in our squad now? Maybe Jones? But none that is as bad as Thiago or the Keita and Oxlade times. So the same circular argument happens every season. What if players get injured? It has been constantly addressed since Klopp time, you cannot just keep on padding players on just because someone is out for a couple of months, even more so now that we have enough numbers and quality and none that is as injury prone as what we had in the past.
Just for context we have 22 players in the ‘Senior’ squad after accounting the loans for Baj, Doak and Nat. These 3 will just be replaced this season by upcoming youths like Nyoni who will probably get the occasional league minutes and cup games. I still don’t see where logic wise, we are short of quality players
Morton, McConnell and Danns correct. I expect if we dip beyond them into the youth ranks then it would be Morrison and Kone-Doherty who get looked at.
I know a bit about Kane-Doherty, but who is Morrison?
Ibou says good afternoon @gasband
Kieran Morrison, 17 year old who currently plays at U18/U21 level as a right winger but I think he projects as a central midfield player.
He’s the lad who immediately beat Trey Nyoni’s “world record” (who is verifying these things?) for Post-Bar-Post
I am going on record, that we are going to sign someone before window closes
He was out for a month whole of last season. I am not saying we don’t have injuries. But you cannot, at least not our club, to go out there and buy players just because you are afraid that a player might get injured and miss a month or two. What if they don’t? Nobody knows where the injury situation will go, not you or me but right now at this moment we do not have an injury problem, we have enough players of a good quality and we cannot be buying players just because. Unless it’s opportunistic as the club keeps emphasizing
If we do, I certainly don’t mind that. Always great to see us signing players because we are very likely to have done good due diligence on them
Our close relationship with these RB sides is one reason why I don’t think Bobby Clark’s move there is permanent.

poor vinny lol
One injury to Ryan Gravenburch and the whole slotball will fall apart…That’s how fragile the whole set up is…
I don’t see Endo having that agility to feint the opposing players and get out of tight spaces, but he has a bit of athleticism in him to break the lines from the rear.
Curtis Jones is press resistant but there are doubts of his strength to hold off opposing players to break the line…
I was 100% that was you
Would require some serious skin lightening cream
curtis jones is WHAT??
Probably why we kept Tyler Morton. If he was good enough to interest Leverkeusen, Leipzig and Atalanta… he is probably (maybe) good enough for backup.
How many football cliches can you squeeze into a sentence
exactly this @Notasuperfan… also imagine tsimikas against mbappe or vini, if robbo is injured
