Elliott, Jones
And Nyoni is the exciting talent.
I do see we may event use 424 for some suitable opponents.

Add in Chiesa.
He can do āthat jobā
One of the few things I can agree with you. He might not be as technically capable like the other midfielders but he does keep the ball very well away from pressing defenders. He doesnāt lose the ball often. If he learns to be more forward looking and release the ball earlier, he would be much improved. Hys attitude and mentality to get this far is a credit to himself.
Endo or Jones provide better cover at 6 than Tsimi does at LB
Regarding DM, if Grav canāt play for whatever reason, our other option is to move Mac across and bring in someone like Elliott or Jones as the second CM in the double-pivot.
Which is fine, I think.
Perhaps, but Tsimikas is starting to get underrated here. A lot of people seem to be focusing on the last few months after he broke his collarbone. He has been poor since then but he was largely ok prior to his injury. Some were even calling for him to start ahead of Robertson.
If his downward form continues, weāll definitely need to upgrade but if he returns to his normal level, heās a perfectly adequate back-up.
Weāve got a couple of young prospects there as well who are away on loan this season - Beck and Scanlon - so itās possible they come back and are suitable back-up this time next year and Tsimi can safely be sold.
Not me. Huge drop off when Robbo is out, thatās less noticeable when Gomez covers him. Tsimi seems a good guy and popular with teammates but nowhere near good enough
Probably also not irrelevant that Hull were wrapping up a deal to sign Abu Kamara, an England U20 international, from Norwich and that Kamara would likely be given first team chances ahead of a loanee.
Meanwhile Middlesbrough did a great job developing Morgan Rogers last season, a player who had previously struggled to show his talent anywhere.
I think we have one of the best 4 full back choices in European football.
Maybe some got spoilt in last years, letās not forget some dark times when we used to have only 1 or 2 quality options out of 4 needed.
Of course you always look to improve, but Iām perfectly happy with what we have there.
Bradley looks like he has physically matured also, heās becoming a serious senior player now.
I think itās also underrated how hard it is to come off the bench and perform well if you havenāt been getting regular playing time before that. Weāve seen it most obviously with Kelleher, but also Gomez. I donāt think any player does particularly well when coming in cold. If we always say that players coming back from injury take a few games to settle back in, why wouldnāt it make sense that the same applies for the players who havenāt been playing for other reasons?
I would have moved on Kostas this season. He is a decent player and a good lad, but as you say, we really notice the drop off when Robbo is out.
Itās that Robbo is so quick - not just covering the ground, but speed of thought as well. Such an intelligent footballer.
Most of players need play to get rhythm, except Origod.
Truth be told the CB in reserve for us are the best you can get to do such a role.
Tsimikas looked decent enough to cover in pre season to me.
Slot is going have to prioritise, the problem is the youngsters were good enough to get through certain rounds.
Surprised anyone wants to qualify for the UCL anyhow considering the bleating about the draw over on that thread.
Gomez as our 4th choice CB is far far far, far more concerning than Kostas as back up LB. Itās quite frightening truth be told. Still have scars from that Napoli game.
true and that is the worryā¦
Thought we actually went with 3 defenders that season, claiming Fabinho was good enough cover.
That is right. One of whom was Matip and for all the claims of Konate being injury prone isnāt in the same universe as Joel in that regard.
One game woohoo.
The Gomez anywhere in that period was bad. Has he not deserved a review after last season?
As for Tsimikas, try and find a LB that will sit on the bench just in case Robbo gets injured and we happen to play Real Madrid.

I donāt think there is a team in the league with a no 4 centre back as good as Joe Gomez.
