Why are we still being linked with wingers?
Especially a left winger. Youâd have thought that, between them, Diaz, Gakpo, Jota and Darwin have the position covered.
As I posted elsewhere, transfer rumours are shite.
Yet here we are
Iâm only here because the pub isnât open yet.
Try Smithfield.
Is that still a thing?
Yep, but not at weekends.
There used to be a pub at Smithfield called the Cock Tavern, which used to do the best breakfasts. All the meat was impeccable, having come straight from the market, and the Guinness was top-notch. They used to open at 02:00, for the market workers (cabbies were also a substantial part of the clientele), so I would get a Full English and a couple of pints of the black stuff in the early hours. Marvellous way to start (or end) the day.
Speaking of cocks, and getting back on topic, no to Gordon.
One day, I hope, there will be a âBest of Cynnieâ compilation.
This will undoubtedly be included.
I was working maintenance (nights) on the London Underground circa '84 and we used to get down there as soon as we knocked off. It was quite the thing to have a pint and a brekky at that time , along with your newspaper that youâd got on the streets before the shops were even open.
How fitting.
You do yourself a disservice
I guess Vincent Kompany and Tony fucking Adams were better than Franco Baresi, afterall.
I forgot Baresi.
I am sorry.
Off to flail myself with a copy of Centre Backs Compendium by way of penance.
And then we fall before the grammar police
Ah, a fellow Catholic. Let us punish ourselves together.
May I recommend you the first half of the 2010-11 season?
We add an extra n for more discomfort.
Atone before Cynnie before itâs too late.

Brekkie early hours. Guinness. Lovely stuff. Any transfers?
Itâs all so unreliable, but I half wonder if we are looking at another winger in anticipation of not renewing Moâs deal? There might be a few twists and turns with that, but perhaps he wants the same as now and we wonât pay that much for a player past his peak?
Mo loses too many duels to my eye, and his explosive pace is not the same and he doesnât get away from full backs as he once did. Thats not to say he isnât a great player, as clearly he is. Salah will still get plenty of goals and assists this season, but a renewal will be tricky to assess. Perhaps a rolling one year deal?
Anyway, Karim Adeyemi, mentioned in a rumour above. Arguably there could be value there, as he hasnât quite kicked on to the degree he looked like he would, but someone might reap the reward, and we have form for that.
Fast as you like, and left footed. He mostly plays on the left wing, but can play right across the front. It wouldnât be difficult to see him playing off the right, using his pace to devastating effect, as our attack is refreshed in a post Mo Salah world.
