The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

Yes and no.

I think we were right to give fekir a hard swerve.

But he really didn’t have a huge injury problem when it came to his time in Betis. There’s only the one serious injury relatively later in his career.

Doesn’t mean that the increased games in the English leagues won’t set him off earlier.

And if what the ex agent of Fekir had to say , Liverpool were still looking for a deal even including his injuries.

It was the behaviour of his entourage that totally made us withdraw.

I’m jumping the gun here.

Lock this thread now.

Just don’t want @Nikola getting in on this.

Where do I begin… The title formatting is wrong, there is no reliable source confirming club’s interested to warrant its own thread and Liverpool are signing Jorrel Hato anyway.

That said, I’d love it if Liverpool signed Kerkez.

As long as the thread is reopened when there’s a credible source.

Just don’t want you to start the thread.

Anyone seen anything credible on the rumours Jorrel Hato was at the game yesterday? Not in the sense of being guest of the club or anything like that.

Seems like exactly what we’d be looking for though. Young, left sided/footed CB who has also played left back. Highly rated and has worked with Heitinga before so no doubt he’d have a good idea of him as a player.

Just in the stand watching with mates by the looks of it.

Yeah it’s a general ticket of course to avoid accusations of tapping up it’s perhaps something you would do.

Then again with Man Utd that seems to not matter, they just go to Romano and tell him the full details to put pressure on the other club who then don’t bend.

What mates would he have who were involved? He’s got a couple of Dutch caps, but cannot imagine that bonded him to Virgil and Cody strongly enough that he spends his free time going to watch his mate play.

Would have crossed with Grav at Ajax.

But yeah

He’d have been 15 and playing in the youth team when Ryan left Ajax though.

I know I’m just saying there is cross over as there is with the international games even if it’s minor.

I mean, is it that hard to imagine van Dijk trying to replicate the atmosphere he has with us with the Dutch national team? It could be that they’re closer than we think, despite the appearances…

Thing is instantly if you go in that squad you’ll probably go under the captains wing especially as you are a defender.

Of course it would be just us to sign someone hardly mentioned bar the odd rumour.

I think i read somewhere (might have been here) that Jonny Heitinga was previously his coach and they were still pretty close.

Hasn’t Gravenberch been held back to U21 level recently quite often? He probably knows Hato quite well from there no?

Ah yeah, I was wondering why his wiki was saying he was playing U21s in 2023.

Footage of Hato saying hi to Virgil post game too…albeit it may well be old footage.

Would be nice to bring someone in, esp if they can cover LCB and LB

I’d imagine it wouldn’t be a terribly hard sell:

“Come and join us, so that you can learn from the best CB in the world and one of the best LBs of the last decade. Oh, by the way, we’re also top of the Premier League and Champions League. Interested?”

Can’t see them coming this window but yeah perhaps a future one.
