Sounds stalkerish until you realise it’s @sweety and he’s following about 1500 players. More NSA vibes really than basement voyeur/pervert

File this one firmly under unreliable but Team Talk are saying that we are trying to get Malo Gusto from Chelsea. I don’t know why Chelsea would be willing to let him go, he’s their best RB in my opinion, and especially why he’d be available to us but if he was I think that would be an excellent signing.

I’d be more inclined to believe it if Reece James wasn’t made out of single-ply toilet paper.

I mean, isn’t that a good reason?

I don’t know how Chelsea are allowed to stockpile so many young players?

But that’s not a question?

Real Madrid are preparing to hijack Arsenal 's move for Real Sociedad and Spain midfielder Martin Zubimendi, 26, as part of a summer rebuild that would also include Liverpool’s England full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, 26, and 19-year-old Bournemouth’s Spain centre-half Dean Huijsen. (AS, via Teamtalk)

Barcelona would be willing to sell Spain forward Ferran Torres, 25, for about £30m with Aston Villa , Liverpool and Manchester United interested in the former Manchester City attacker. (Fichajes - in Spanish)

Tottenham will need to pay £40m to secure the signing of Algeria defender Rayan Ait-Nouri, 23, with Liverpool , Arsenal and Manchester United all keen on the Wolves full-back. (Football Insider)

I have just noticed on the BBC sports app that they are asking the same question ā€œwhy are Chelsea stockpiling young playersā€ with a question mark.

I’ve completely slept on Huijsen. I know there has been some talk about him, but thought it was more as a developmental ā€œhe could be really good in a couple of yearsā€ sort of prospect. I didnt realize he was being seen as sufficiently developed already to be a solution for Real’s CB crisis.

He’s developed massively at Bournemouth, he’s so highly regarded that he even made his Spain debut a few days ago (against Netherlands no less). There’s a bit of arrogance about him that makes me think he’d fit right in at Real Madrid should they decide to sign him. I can’t quite remember it but I think Varane was the last teenage centre back they bought - and it turned alright for them.

Militao was good before injuries.

He was great but I think they bought him when he was a bit older, hence my comparison with Varane.

Huijsen has got it. FSG should break the bank for him.

Didn’t Juve use Huijsen at LB? I seem to remember seeing him reported that way when Bournemouth signed him. That’s a bit of poor management by the Old Lady.

If we are to have a chance of signing Huijsen, I think he needs to play. If all we can offer is third choice, albeit with plenty of minutes, I don’t think that will do it.

It’s mad to say, but if VVD is off, it probably increases the odds of signing Huijsen.

He has a release clause, which we can comfortably meet. I’m certain we can offer competitive wages too. It will all depend on the options he has and where he sees his career going. Real Madrid interest is a bit of a surprise at this stage, but it tells us something about the quality the player possesses.

Some Spanish outlet stirring things again. Is this Diaz’s dad’s doing?
Liverpool’s 28-year-old Colombia forward Luis Diaz hopes Barcelona will make a move for him at the end of the season. (Mundo Deportivo - in Spanish)

This again. We really need to get Konate’s signature on the contract this summer.

Paris St-Germain and Real Madrid are monitoring Ibrahima Konate’s situation at Liverpool , with the France defender, 25, yet to agree an extension to his contract which expires next year. (Football Insider)

If Brighton want this kid then we better get in there before his price skyrockets a few years from now.
Bayer Leverkusen , Parma and Wolfsburg have joined Liverpool , Manchester City and Brighton in the race for Independiente del Valle’s 15-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder Johan Martinez. (Teamtalk)

How long does Lucho have left on his contract?
