found it incredible Rashford has started last 2 England games - he still hasnt done much at villa bar the odd assist and from what i saw he was utterly average against poor opponents.

Part of Arne’s job is to work with the recruitment team to help inform the models they use to identify and pursue targets. There will be some variation amongst those they list but all should be targets that Arne can adapt his side’s play around and that will probably lead to another discussion he has with the recruitment bods as to why he wants one over another.

Slot isn’t knocking on Hughes’s door demanding Frimpong. Nor is he doing any of the other stuff they’re claiming.

I’d be amazed if he’s our right back next season, partly because he doesn’t really play right back now.

If Frimpong turns out to be a legitimate option I quietly quite like the idea of him backing up Bradley at Rb and maybe starting certain games as well as stepping forward to fill in for Salah during AFCON/ in the cups/ late in games.

Personally, I don’t like having two same sided full backs who can only play one position. I just don’t think they contribute enough. If they’re comfortable either side or can do a bit at centre half or on the wing, I think they’re a lot more valuable. Even better if they count as home grown.
